Never said he shouldn'tve caught the pass (it's George Kittle),...but the throw could've been much better. Easy throw for a pro QB to improve and garner an easy gain.
And on the nitpicking about ball placement... you may have never heard this, but...
Did I really take the time to make this image in the last 30 minutes? Or is it able to easily pluck off of the web because it's the game of football?
It only repeats what I've said about this play all morning: small things add up. I've seen off passes to wide open guys too many times to just brush it off.
Football really is a game of inches.
If you choose to follow this sport, you really do need to accept the fact that it's a game of inches. Don't get so upset when someone points out that a QB's play just isin't good enough unless it turns around.
We'll have beautiful conditions to play in wherever we play next week and you just cross your fingers and hope he makes better throws.
Like I said in a much more recent post than you just quoted. You must not watch much if any games outside of 49er football. What you are doing is nit picking to the extreme.
It's like he's not even watching the opposing QB though either lol. Rodgers had some misses and even on completions he wasn't completely accurate. Zero TD passes. Dak last week was pretty awful as well. But somehow they get a pass. It's weird at this point.

How much football I watch doesn't take the ball off of Kittle's trailing shoulder pad. Get the ball out in front,...there's a sea of green in front of your pass catcher.
I can't expect his team to save him every single week on our way to a Lombardi trophy. He wasn't good yesterday and almost threw the game away (multiple times) yet again. His play (on plays like these) is going to have to improve if we're really going to "do it."

They say that every year. Dude just keeps winning. Just like Jimmy.

No he didn't. He just had the better team around him. Would the Niners have won that game without the special teams play? I doubt it.
Jimmy owns him.
With that logic, DJ Johnson owns him lol
The 49ers own him and Jimmy owns the Pack in the playoffs.
Rodgers is uninspiring.
Rodgers is his own worst enemy in the playoffs. Let's face it, he's got a huge ego and needs to be the hero all the time. He's an incredible talent, one the best QBs I've ever seen play the position. But he's never learned to take a little step back, and try to win as a team. Especially in those conditions last night, they should've ran the ball a lot more.

This statement right here, particularly the bolded, is proof that you're not even enjoying these wins. Moments after the game you come straight to the Jimmy G thread to criticize every mistake, and we won the game. Seems like a total waste of energy.

Uhmmm....my comment right after the game ended though suggests otherwise....

We did but everything is icing on the cake @ this point. Speaks to how solid this team is.
What's actually happening here after games vs. what you're saying doesn't match. I enjoy the games so you can relax on that front.

No he didn't. The difference was the STs play.
He did nothing whatsoever in the second half, or even really after the first drive. Obviously the D had a lot to do with it. No one said ST's wasn't the difference.

I really think Brady is more machine now than man. Someone should give him an X-Ray.

You cannot debate football if you live your football life in a bubble. I watch a lot of games outside of my niners as many on here, I am sure, do. At this point, you are just looking to be right just to be right and not to actually make a valid point.

Simply outline what I said that was wrong or incorrect. I'm all ears on it.

Jimmy balled on the game winning drive. Rodgers choked it up. He had a wide open man in the middle but went for the glory with Adams.

Yes his arms reacted late. They would've had to react earlier. Rewatch the play. I don't really need to gif it do I? You see the ball hit him on his trailing shoulder pad right?
You can't reach back for a pass behind you late,....it's just not gonna happen. Your hands & arms need to be extended earlier. A pass @ least on his chest or in front is an easy grab and his hands and arms are just fine.
Is anything I'm saying untrue??
Not sure what your point is other than our QB needs to be 100 percent perfect 100 percent of the time. Every ball between the numbers every single time or in a lead position. Other guys can miss a block, whiff tackles, drop passes, blow coverage on Aaron Jones but JG you have to be 100 percent perfect every single play it's all i ask
Bad play by Kittle (late recognition/reaction),...Bad play by Jimmy (behind his WR running full speed). Didn't need to be 100%. Just needed to be on him or in front. With wide open guys, he just has too many of these.
Rewatch and if you see something different on this play, let me know.
Terry Bradshaw at halftime talking about the throw he said it was a dropped touchdown. No mention of ball placement. He has no bias pro or against JG.
Listen to Kittle himself "bad play by me should have been a touchdown"
End of convo.
He's gotta lead his WR on plays like this with no one in front. This wasn't a tight window throw. "Throw with anticipation" as some here like to call it. Not gonna absolve either player on this one unless you have video or graphic evidence that tells a different story.
You should be a coach on an NFL team.

If you're waking up this morning and b***hing or complaining about any aspect of how Jimmy Garoppolo played football last night you've got issues. Can't imagine feeling anything but joy after last night. Be happy for 24 hours at the very least lmao

Its not your argument. Its your need to nit pick and be validated for it. lol
