Let's be honest... the group complaining about Jimmy won't complain about Lance. It's the same way the people who complained about Alex never complained about Kaepernick. Because it's not about the actual performance, it's just about getting rid of the guy that they have deemed "unworthy". Kaepernick was an absolute disaster, and the anti-Alex'ers still praised Kaep because, even tho he was worse, at least it wasn't Alex.
It will be the same thing with Lance. Even if he doesn't turn out the way we hope, and even if the team is worse off as a whole due to all the assets we traded away to get him, those fans will be happy because even tho it's worse outcomes, at least it's not Jimmy.

i love kittle he is a great player and imo best TE in nfl but he dropped it. Just like Aiyuk dropped that slant. It took some time for our receivers to get used to the cold
