I don't hate Jimmy...I've been posting in this thread since we traded for him on Halloween. I've been talking about Jimmy before he was a 49er (liked him in the draft and wanted him and McDaniels before we got Kyle). Not until this off season did I say we should invest in the position.

Problem is we got a bunch of emotional trolls in the WZ now. They can't fathom that criticism is okay (must be a bunch of Generation Zers lol) and also realize just because you criticize a player that doesn't mean you hate them. What's funny is half them said they wanted Lance to play after we lost to AZ's JV team. Now they're acting like everyone else sucks for questioning our QB at all or understanding he's inconsistent.

I hope Jimmy bends over the Rams and plays the game of his life. I want him to be successful because he's a good dude and plays for SF. I also see his limitations and inconsistencies...it's wild to think like that I know

I give you crao because you are so stuck on refuting any compliment made toward him.
Someone saysbhe had a gold 4th quarter and a good drive to finish or had a better game than Rodgers you will go on and on to argue against those opinions.
You are a fan, I believe you do want them to win but because of rhe back and forth here, you are quite dug in on your opinions about Jimmy G.

I-ll be happy with a win, even if he doesn't throw a TD or throws and INT.

Punching it in with a run after a long drive is as good or better than a pass TD.

Stop..stop. What in gods name are they supposed to say about their starting qb. They won't go to the press and just rip him, like an Antonio brown, or OBJ

Not sure why they don't just come out with quotes right before playoff games that'll cause major headlines and break up team unity.

Some of us have been reading these quotes from players for years and know the sentiments aren't new.

I said he had two amazing drives vs LA. I never cared about Rogers or comparing what one QB did vs another QB in the same game. I said he does his part and sometimes that isn't much and sometimes (ex vs LA) it's a lot more. I just think he's an inconsistent QB that's all. Shouldn't have to turn into this long arguing fest about who's a better fan and who's hating to hate or whatever. At that point we've lost all discussion on the QB and are just hating on posters. I don't want to do that or be part of those discussions anymore.

End of the day just differences of opinions on a player...I will be rooting for Jimmy all the same on Sunday

Go Niners.

You have argued against any slight praise given for the Green Bay win. Right after the win, that is where you went.

I think you are a smart and good dude and a 49er fan regardless and I like most your points, even if I think you have lost focus on the situation with the team and QB right now.

I don't think he's deserving of a ton of praise for the GB win. I have celebrated the W like everyone else and think that win was more so because of the defense and STs. If you disagree that's fine. Like Others have said weather played a part too.

I have no problem being pumped where this team is/celebrating that, respecting the hell out of everyone on the team(including Jimmy) and realizing that the main dude, our QB, isn't playing amazing football right now...if we can get by with our QB throwing more INTs then TDs and avg like 150 yards a game, so be it. I think we might need a little more of him to go all the way.

We will see!

Can we agree that the oline probably had one of their worst performances in awhile in that green bay game? Specifically with pass pro?

Clutch winner!

So why are we getting rid of Jimmy then and not Kyle?

We haven't yet. He's still a 49er.

Still a possibility he isn't moved this offseason too, specially if he wins a Lombardi. We still have to see.

If we can't agree on that, then continuing to argue about Jimmy is pointless.

Also the argument is flawed. The eagles got rid of Foles and kept Pedersen. That overall didn't pan out well.

Still Rodgers was sacked and harassed more than Jimmy. The O lines were probably having trouble with their footing in that game so I'm not surprised.

That right side wasn't great...like others said weather affected everything. Saw that on the GB side too.

the right side of the OL isnt great but they were getting beat consistantly against GB in both the run and pass game. Compton especially looked awful. I think Compton just cant play in those conditions its pretty clear

i think he will have a bounce back game playing in dome and LA

I remember people criticizing Montana when he had a poor game. Same with Young when he didn't play well. It goes with the territory. It didn't mean people hated those guys. They were just disappointed and wanted to vent. For some reason when people vent their frustration with Jimmy its viewed as hate. Maybe it's just the times we live in.

Still doesn't make sense to me. If Kyle is so bad without Jimmy, obviously he's the issue and Jimmy should get an extension.
