There's no way you just let him walk after another year. We have a chance to get a really nice return for him in draft capital. You don't just let him play out his contract and hit FA.

It's not just that. The money we get from trading him allows us to put together a better supporting cast next year around Trey than Jimmy has this year.

You have argued against any slight praise given for the Green Bay win. Right after the win, that is where you went.

I think you are a smart and good dude and a 49er fan regardless and I like most your points, even if I think you have lost focus on the situation with the team and QB right now.

I don't think he's deserving of a ton of praise for the GB win. I have celebrated the W like everyone else and think that win was more so because of the defense and STs. If you disagree that's fine. Like Others have said weather played a part too.

I have no problem being pumped where this team is/celebrating that, respecting the hell out of everyone on the team(including Jimmy) and realizing that the main dude, our QB, isn't playing amazing football right now...if we can get by with our QB throwing more INTs then TDs and avg like 150 yards a game, so be it. I think we might need a little more of him to go all the way.

We will see!

Can we agree that the oline probably had one of their worst performances in awhile in that green bay game? Specifically with pass pro?

Still Rodgers was sacked and harassed more than Jimmy. The O lines were probably having trouble with their footing in that game so I'm not surprised.

Jimmy was sacked 4 times on 23 dropbacks, or on 17% of his dropbacks and according to pro football reference was under pressure on 39.1% of his dropbacks.

Rodgers was sacked 5 times on 34 dropbacks or 14.7% and according to the same source was pressured on 26.5% of his dropbacks.

Jimmy was hit 3 times, Rodgers 1.

No, Rodgers wasn't getting pressured and harassed more. Not saying this is you, but some people have this lense they see Garoppolo with vs other qb's and act like Jimmy does less under better circumstances.

GB's defense came to play. They had their best defense in years, Kenny Clark was a monster all game and we struggled separating from man-coverage.

Just think about how dominant our defense and pass rush seemed Jimmy was under more pressure and had fewer guys open. Think about that.

I disagree that he was under more pressure. Rodgers avoided getting hit by being able to move better. In that weather neither QB was going to be able to do much anyway. I stated on another post that despite some drops i was amazed that the receivers were able to catch the ball as well as they did.

LMAO. You need to go back and watch the game again. Our entire OL collapsed and there is no lane or avenue to step up into. Then, go watch Rodgers pass protection. When his pass protection failed, he more often than not still had lanes or room to step up or out too. He's just slow as hell now esp. in that weather.

I hope Jimmy does win the super bowl. It would make life a teentsy bit harder for the *Jimmy is average* crowd on the Webzone.

Nick mullens, cj bethard, Brian hoyer as qbs
If all he does is win, then why are we going to ship him off at the end of the season?

Carry on

Are you saying Rodgers is slow or Jimmy? I can't tell from your post. I know Jimmy is slow. Always has been. Rodgers still moves pretty well if he has to.

I couldn't agree more. He's gone.

Rodgers was slow. Not just his age now but even more to do with the field conditions. When Arik Armstead is chasing you down, you're slow. LOL

And wha'ts sean payton's record without drew brees(3rd stringer and a TE as a QB) , winning record, if kyle is so good and QB don't matter, he should at least able to win 50% with those hoyer/mullen/whatever

AA is not slow nor near anything you are trying to portray him to be

Holy got dam no offense but that was painful to listen to almost as bad as the peeps here who make it a point every day to point out his flaws. Cant we all just get along and hang with Jimmy G in peace?

Wow, so refreshing of an assessment. Soooooooo much more to QBing, especially in this system, than just the salient tangibles.
