You think wins are indicative of a QBs performance?

I didn't tweet it, deebo Samuel did, take it up with him

I'm asking you though. Why not answer the question?

I would say that wins are indicative of a QB' influence on the team. That is partly "performance" (ie passing and/or running stats/production) but also many other things that aren't easily apparent unless you're really looking (or a part of the team so you can experience it first hand).

Did the 49ers even consider re-signing him?
You're really going to use 1 guy, who came in mid-year as a rental, and the 49ers had other off-season priorities higher than him, as an example against all the other teammates who go to bat for him?

Did anyone see a fan yelling at Darius Slay on Crockers podcast? Saying, "you can't have watched all our games then, you don't watch our games!"

Lol like....Slay has played against Jimmy TWICE. Are we really gonna say an all pro CB who was part of a game plan against this team and Garoppolo twice, who spent two weeks watching film on him doesn't know Jimmybas well as fans who, "watch every game"? It's laughable.

Darius slay says it - doesn't count
Sherman says it - doesn't count.
Deebo says it - doesn't count
Staley says it - doesn't count
Kyle says it - doesn't count
Emmanuel Sanders says it - doesn't count
Juice says it - doesn't count
Bosa says it - doesn't count
Kittle says it - doesn't count
Andy Reid has said it - doesn't count

At some point, maybe fans can take a step back and realize that these guys might, just might have a little more knowledge about this.

Bump.

What people really need to understand is that something isn't true just because an "authority" says it is.

One of the most basic fallacies there is.

Guys this is a silly discussion. No active player or coach is going to denigrate a fellow player by saying he's a turd. They have more class than that. It's called being a professional. Besides being upset at our players and trashing them during this fine campaign is what we do in the gameday thread that's our job.

🤣🤣 dude, if we went around posting articles about logical fallacies in debate, then every other post would be a link.

The appeal to authority is only considered a fallacy when there is NO evidence or as the establishment evidence but is perfectly fine when used as corraborative or counter-point.

For example: if I claim that you are part of the cult of ommamu based off the opinion of a specialist in cults, that is a logical fallacy.

If I show evidence that you are part of the cult of ommamu you dispute the interpretation of that evidence and then I cite an expert on cult behavior, that isn't a logical fallacy.

There has been plenty of evidence either way. The issue is fans saying they are "more knowledgeable" about the situation cause they "watch the games" doesn't mean anything.

I can watch an autopsy, that doesn't mean I know more than the medical examiner.

I would do the same if I were on the team. It's pretty rare for anyone to do anything besides praise a player to the media
Deebo calls you guys out this morning.

That is silly. People are allowed to make sully posts and get triggered over any praise.

You argued against praise given to Jimmy in the Jimmy thread for the last drive of the game. Are you not allowing people to express their opinion that Jimmy won that game with a great 4th qtr game winning drive?

everyone get's triggered over everything in here...stop pretending it's just one way. We got one weird poster (who's currently on a TO) DMing me that I have no life, if I get banned don't hurt myself and I should see a counselor etc. Like what are we doing here? s**t is getting way to weird and personal. It's the WZ and not that deep.

Yes I said I don't think throwing two 4 yard slants was some massive accomplishment for a NFL QB, doesn't mean I don't think he played a part in the W.

Also I don't care if you praise Jimmy, go ahead my man....I said I didn't think it was some magical thing from him in GB, not compare to the LA drives. That's it. There is no point to even be talking about this anymore. Do whatever the f**k you want to do....when it comes to talk about the game itself we should be able to have a discussion on it. For you it's W/L and nothing else matters, for others it's different. That should be okay...you don't want to partake in that discussion then don't.

Overall it seems like your beef is with posters and at this point I don't care about debating that. Go do it with someone else...you want to talk about the game, cool I'm down for that.

Sorry to hear about that.

My beef is with the posts, not the posters.

Sanders said he wasn't even offered a contract:

He later said he went to the Saints because of the opportunity to play with Drew Brees and play in a more spread offense.

They aren't. Team stat.

Except of course when they're not. You don't need to look any further than this thread to be aware of that BS hypocrisy. The TEAM wins but it's Jimmy who loses. You guys can't keep having it both ways.

Then why not the same amount of wins *like* Jimmy if Hoyer, Beathard, and Mullens are playing QB. Can't have it both ways now.

Why is Jared Goff losing so much now, and Matt Stafford is winning so much?

Some fans still don't realise that If you have good coaching, combined with a talented roster, that all you need Is a decent QB who's capable of hitting the open receivers.

Well yes,...because much like highlight reels,...you get to pick and choose the authority that you appeal to.

There are a list of reputable people that have opposed such point of views as those above, but coincidentally, they are left off of the list.

I'm sorry Jonny but you're wrong.

All it's saying is that just because you're an NFL player or coach doesn't mean you're automatically correct about anything related to football.

It's also not saying the inverse is correct. Which is why I asked you the question about wins and losses being attributable to a QBs performance to have that discussion. I'm not assuming I'm correct here.

The conflict of interest for Deebo talking about his QB who's 2 games away from winning the Super Bowl should be clear to anyone. Except you, apparently.
