They aren't. Team stat.

Except of course when they're not. You don't need to look any further than this thread to be aware of that BS hypocrisy. The TEAM wins but it's Jimmy who loses. You guys can't keep having it both ways.

Then why not the same amount of wins *like* Jimmy if Hoyer, Beathard, and Mullens are playing QB. Can't have it both ways now.

Why is Jared Goff losing so much now, and Matt Stafford is winning so much?

Why did the 49ers win on Saturday and why did the 49ers win.

Their last two drives are a big reason.

Great defense, STs touchdown, clutch last minute drive.
My point with the question I asked, which you failed to answer, is that did Goff suddenly forget how to be a winning QB?

It would be absurd to say that a qb winning is all because of the qb. Joe Montana played with HOF guys on both sides of the ball, same with Steve.

Dan Marino was unbelievable and never had a great team around him. Trent Dilfer was a backup quality qb on an unbelievable team.

The thing is, though, Dilfer never had a winning % anywhere close to Jimmy. Marino never had a team like Jimmy has.

But for people to act like he's the problem, not part of a solution(which we're still winning, so we've got a solution right now) is weird.

Doesn't make sense, at this point.

You'd have to believe that Kyle and John are the greatest HC and GM duo that has ever existed in the history of football to win like they have with Jimmy, to do it in spite of him.

I have criticized Jimmy for being a limited QB in terms of ability, but I won't doubt his ability to sack up and play well in high pressure situations. He is a part of the winning recipe that the 49ers have, but he is not the main ingredient. I don't think anyone is saying he is, just putting my opinion out there.

For me, and this is the point Slay and Sherman have made. Is Jimmy Mahomes? No. Is he winning like Mahomes? No.

But we won 3 straight road games in win or go home situations. So why in the world are people complaining so incredibly loudly?

Would you really rather be a Bills fan right now? Great qb play and watching other teams play to go to the SB?

I don't get what we're complaining about. Thought the point was to win.

Are we seriously giving Jimmy credit for the win against the Packers?

Yes, that fantastic drive and thoroughly outplaying Rodgers in the elements when it mattered most deserves praise.

I don't think he outplayed Rodgers. I think we we're fortunate the special teams showed up for once and made some crucial plays that put us In a position to win the game at the end.

I agree with the last drive though, he does deserve credit for that part.

They're more biased than others as well. Two mostly true points that in the end moved the needle nowhere. 1 + 1 will never = 3.

At some point, fans have got to maybe realize that they don't know everything? Maybe?

Did anyone see a fan yelling at Darius Slay on Crockers podcast? Saying, "you can't have watched all our games then, you don't watch our games!"

Lol like....Slay has played against Jimmy TWICE. Are we really gonna say an all pro CB who was part of a game plan against this team and Garoppolo twice, who spent two weeks watching film on him doesn't know Jimmybas well as fans who, "watch every game"? It's laughable.

Darius slay says it - doesn't count
Sherman says it - doesn't count.
Deebo says it - doesn't count
Staley says it - doesn't count
Kyle says it - doesn't count
Emmanuel Sanders says it - doesn't count
Juice says it - doesn't count
Bosa says it - doesn't count
Kittle says it - doesn't count
Andy Reid has said it - doesn't count

At some point, maybe fans can take a step back and realize that these guys might, just might have a little more knowledge about this.

"Appeal to authority is a common type of fallacy, or an argument based on unsound logic.

When writers or speakers use appeal to authority, they are claiming that something must be true because it is believed by someone who said to be an "authority" on the subject."

https://www.softschools.com/examples/fallacies/appeal_to_authority_examples/430/

🤣🤣 dude, if we went around posting articles about logical fallacies in debate, then every other post would be a link.

The appeal to authority is only considered a fallacy when there is NO evidence or as the establishment evidence but is perfectly fine when used as corraborative or counter-point.

For example: if I claim that you are part of the cult of ommamu based off the opinion of a specialist in cults, that is a logical fallacy.

If I show evidence that you are part of the cult of ommamu you dispute the interpretation of that evidence and then I cite an expert on cult behavior, that isn't a logical fallacy.

There has been plenty of evidence either way. The issue is fans saying they are "more knowledgeable" about the situation cause they "watch the games" doesn't mean anything.

I can watch an autopsy, that doesn't mean I know more than the medical examiner.

You didn't provide any evidence in your post. You just named others and suggested that others should submit to them. Nothing was presented.

Are we really saying that after 7200 pages and over 100k posts that there's been, "no evidence"?

If that wasnt clear, maybe I just hit you in the shoulder pad with the post.

Cant technically count as a drop if it only hits his trailing shoulder pad. I always learned that you drop things with your hands.

Get more of those balls in front of him or we're just gonna have ta say "eff it" and draft a young kid for the position.

But just helping you on how logic works so maybe we can get rid of that poisonous "stop thinking and listen" preaching we get here from time to time. Waterbear is correct,...it's logically flawed.

New subject time.

If a guy never puts his hands up, he'll never have any drops WZ logic.

Yes. Yet Fred Warner got criticized all year even during wins. Isn't Freddy a winner?

Look Jimmy is playing a part in the wins and a part in the losses. It's never all one thing. To argue a QB is great solely based on wins is insane. It's equally insane to grade down Stafford solely because of the losses. Same with coaches. There is so much context there.

Yes, Darius Slay who plays for the Eagles is surely biased in our favor.

I think so but many here are arguing that he did not.

This thread just got stupider.

It started with the Goff question.

I think giving qbs credit for wins is fair.

I have to pretend that random didn't actually just make that argument. Because if I continue on living knowing that someone believes that, I may give up on life and commit suicide.
