Jimmy and the 49ers are also the only team in NFL history to win 3 consecutive road games against 12+ win teams. So it's not just "won 3 straight road games", they just did something that's never been done before.

Regardless of his play, Jimmy really must be a hell of a teammate- I don't recall every seeing a similar situation having players go so out of their way (post to their own accounts etc.) to publicly endorse their QB when they are getting bruised by the media. I mean even Sherman still got his back.

I'm sure they love Mahomes on the field but they gotta hate hanging out with the guy outside of football. I think our 49ers love their leader both on and off the field.

Going a bit off topic a bit, I think Trey can be that Mahomes 2.0 He's got the skills set and on top of that, he has the better offensive Coach. I now Fat Andy and Kyle Shanahan are cousins in the Walsh coaching tree, but I think Kyle's offense is much more balanced and more creative from a run game perspective -- and I know that a good run game is the QB's best friend with regards to any passing game. I predict Trey will have probably 1/3 less yardage passing than Mahomes but will probably have just as much (if not more wins) than Jimmy/Mahomes.

No one is saying he's the main reason. But he's the quarterback, so he's a huge reason. It's not that hard.
