Just saying, Dilfer was a leader and had 100% support from his teammates. Replacing him with QBs who can put up better stats killed that team until they cheated their way to another SB.
Big difference here is that THIS season Trey was selected with MAJOR draft capital spent and it is already known that he is the future prior to us even playing the first game. Jimmy knew it Trey knew it the coaches knew it the players know it and the front office knows this
There will be no fractures once Jimmy is gone because it won't be a surprise to anyone
We played this just right slowing Jimmy to have his last dance with the guys and they're playing their asses off for him. Trey is learning how to be a leader be well liked gain the teams respect how to bounce back from adversity how to prepare and how to win while dealing with criticism from Jimmy
You can't get what Trey is getting from a textbook and this is EXACTLY what our coaches and Lynch envisioned in keeping Jimmy
I knew when we drafted Trey Jimmy would be retained unless another club blew us away with a very lucrative trade
