Don't you mean Gilbert Brown?

Because aside from Trey they had s**tty backups.

Once again we have that silly argument. Jimmy is better than any backup the Niners have had. That's not even a question. If he wasn't he would be the backup right. Of all the arguments for or against Jimmy this W-L record with and without Jimmy is the dumbest. I wonder what the NE record would have been without Brady. GB without Rodgers. The Bills without Allen. Any decent team without it's starter unless the backup was a talented rookie.

What people don't want to take into consideration is who else was on the field with those QBs who are not starters anyway.

Team plagued with injuries. And yes I'll say it. Jimmy had a part in getting recievers of ours injuried. Kittle more than once in his career... and hell Sanu this season.

I will say thank God Jimmy doesn't throw hospital passes anymore. Credit to him.

It was so obvious before that playoff game..

Call toss runs or just runs to the outside.... make Big Gilbert get tired.. then run up the middle when the Packers sub him for a breather.

But nope... we just kept running right up the middle like Dodos.

My first live game I ever went to was the 1999 playoffs game vs GB "the catch 2".

I remember seeing Gilbert Brown on the field and I was shocked to see a human that big. Lol
Arm is looking stong. First pass attempt arm motion looking clean.

YOU REALLY BELIEVE THAT?

You're still mad? Come on, man.

"You're mad!"... "Anger!"

You responded in all caps to something really simple. Jimmy, the QB, contributes to wins. And the advanced stats show that. That's an extremely reasonable opinion, and you got triggered.

When I look at Jimmy I see a good QB on what could be a championship team around him. I see a guy that is well liked by his team and I see a tough guy who as someone said here plays like he's Favre but just doesn't have that type talent so it can get him in trouble but he has that spirit and that's why he's always going to push til the last tick to get you that win

What has happened is since Jimmy plays for us he's spotlighted because our team is so good we make the big games and that's where good QBs get exposed for not being great or even elite

Statistically Jimmy has been an Average to good starting caliber QB but since these are playoff defenses and he's on a super bowl caliber unit more is expected of him and because he ain't one of those guys is why he's being trashed

Someone said folk here are being emotional but I for one am trying to be rational as I do with pretty much everything in life.

Jimmy had done what we needed him to do this year which was to steady the ship and buy the rookie time because the vets we have here were not for an experiment at QB. They all know Trey is gonna be great but this year guys wanted Jimmy to get them to this point.

Jimmy had done what he could to his abilities and we will finish this good or bad

Next year it's Trey Dey Bey Bey!

Very well said

Lets destroy the Rams Sunday!!

Don't see anyone mad or triggered. Just a dude asking if he really believed what he was saying.

Yeah, I think it was Gilbert actually vs Wilkins. All I remember is what Afrikan said, we just kept running up the middle like Dodo's and pretty much go three and out.

Green bay has a little bit of that with Kenny Clark, but thank god we have an OC/HC that can scheme around a guy like Kenny Clark.

Bill Bellichick without Brady: 62-74
Packers without Rodgers since he took over: 6-11-1
Sean Payton without Drew Brees: 8-3 (17-11 if you include this season)

Kyle without Jimmy: 6-24

I challenge you and any Jimmy hater to find any team and/or coach with as drastic of a swing in W/L record when their starter is down.

Great points!

Jimmy!

oh boy,....I remember how in love John Madden was with him,...lol.
Touches on Jimmy and the passing game starting at 7 mins into the video...

Oh Jimmy... oh Jimmy Jimmy Jimmy. Why do you make things harder for yourself? Even if it's alittle bit?

I wonder what the Rams' defense will spend most of their Saturday on.

That being said, what cures having bad tackles is a quick decisions and a quick release... so run the ball like expected, then Jimmy makes decisive decisions with the ball....like liked how the ball was firing out of his hand earlier today at practice.

If he doesn't see what he likes, I hope he does what he did later in that Packers game... run forward for positive gain... or make the defenders commit to him and dump it off.
