Jimmy can start another year and trey can learn more and fix his mechanics before we put him on the field next year then he can hit the ground running

Why does Jimmy gives us the best chance to win but doesn't give any other team a better chance to win? And I might hang myself if I have to watch another year of Jimmy throwing balls directly to linebackers, missing wide open receivers, Never seing Aiyuk open 20 yards down the field, and literally stumbling into sacks. If Jimmy is the starter week 1, Aiyuk should demand a trade. He's due to for an extension at the season and Jimmy is just costing him money.

Don't you think that for Jimmy's sake, he should take the Panther's job. I know they suck compared to the Niners, but he could build back his reputation as a game changer and he could gather support like he did when he first arrived in California? It's not a good career progression, because his connection to Deebo is going to produce ... but this negativity and Deebo's recent actions are swaying my own preference to a trade.

I totally get how anxious you must feel ... I felt it myself, and I'm a Garropolonian. I was watching the Packers game and saying, "please don't throw the ball, find Deebo." It is breathtaking. Even a Garropolan thought that the sack in the season finale was THE END ... but it wasn't and when they came back it was Jimmy's finest drive. It's nerve wracking, but more often than not it works out for a win.

And yet he like all the others who support Jimmy never talk about his ability or lack there of. They go with the same old tired worn out thought proccess. "He wins" But cant win a SB. I guess these Jimmy supporters are just ok with getting to the playoffs and winning a game or two and then falling short of the SB which is the main goal. And then these same people will blame Kyle when the Niners don't win the SB because his QB is very average and going up against an elite guy on the other side. They will blame Kyle's play-calling, Even though it's Jimmy that didn't execute it or that the opposing team is stacking the box because they know Jimmy can't beat them with his arm. Or his legs.

And I find it funny that people are saying Jimmy gives us the best chance but yet he's a guy nobody else in the league wants. Average to below average QB's were being sought after before him. Steelers would rather fricken have Trubinsky.

Yeah, what would Frank Gore know? He is just another Jimmy homer who doesn't know the game like some dudes around here

He didn't even give any reason for his thinking, other than " He wins". He even admitted that it doesn't look pretty. Ofcourse it has nothing to do with the Niners having the most stacked roster in the league.

Counting the playoffs, Jimmy had 22 TD passes and 15 INT's last season. In his career he has 75 TD's and 44 INT's.

Cancel Frank Gore
Alright, two of the Niners all time favorites, Montana and Gore, have backed Jimmy. But what do they know about football right?

Yeah but Gore was also the one who told John that Trey is special before drafting him. So if you are saying Gore credible in this stance, you have to admit he is credible in the other one also.

In this instance as much as any of us. Has Gore been at the practices to see how either of them do? Does he even know Kyle's offense? Or is he just watching the games like the rest of us? Because nobody has really seen Lance play, so of course he'd have to say Jimmy gives them the better chance. If he'd have said Trey, exactly what would that be based off of?

Trey will shut them all up when he throws for 350 yards with 4 TD's 0 picks in week 1

Jed reaching out to Gore before the Lance selection was definitely one of the most ludicrous news items to come out of last years' draft. Ridiculous on multiple levels.

They might have been great but their livelihoods do not depend on their opinions.

It is clear Jimmy has value to the team as either a player or trade capital.

The point is the team leaders see more value in someone else for the future as the starting QB.

Keep him as back up or until a team is desperate enough to trade for him. But unlikely to cut him.
Let these guys live in their fantasy world where Jimmy is a top 10 QB but only they know his true abilities. GMs across the league are blind and (according to joanieb) have probably been influenced by "dumb" takes on the webzone so they've gone with QBs like trubisky and Winston.

But they know the truth. Jimmy G and his amazing post season 4 touchdowns and 6 interceptions is next level advanced metric s**t only their galaxy brain can interpret.

They are telling themselves it's the injury and the contract But if Jimmy was a good starting QB, $27 Million would actually be a steal in today's market. And as for the injury it was minor shoulder surgery in which he would be ready way before training camp. But Teams don't even want to give up a 2nd for him.

Jimmy isn't top 10. He isn't top 15. He's probably around 20, with a few other players at least worth arguing against him.
