Crazy thing is that he never got thumb surgery and that might be Jimmy's ultimate fallback plan to guarantee the money.

Given the sudden announcement of surgery (likely didn't tell 49ers) for a "mild shoulder strain", I'm not even sure this dude wants to really be a starting QB. He prolly could have toughed it out for a year and delayed surgery. He should have worked hard with his agent and 49ers to get traded to Indy. That would have given him the best chance to be a starting QB for a few years and even win a few playoff games.

Truth is he's made over 100 million dollars, been to a super bowl, looks like a male model, and f**ks pornstars for a living. He's never that mad in games and always smiling no matter how s**tty he is playing. He has pretty much made it in life and has had a much better career as a QB than tons of QBs drafted higher than him (especially given his obvious physical limitations). He also has a great reputation as a leader and "winner".

I wouldn't be surprised if he is just happy making another 20-30 million over the next 5-10 years just bouncing back and forth across teams as a backup. He knows he's never getting a 100 million contract ever again and why would he want to deal with stress of the media harassing him and his poor play as a starting QB on another team.

Agree with a lot of this. He wouldn't be the first player in the NFL to take it easy after their first big pay check.

I also never liked his attitude. You rarely see that fire from him that other QBs have. And dude played under Brady for all those years too

Meanwhile the rest of the team loves him and credits him for his leadership.

It is not wise to publicly bash teammates. Using the word leadership is an easy way out. Its not like they are gushing over his ability to throw the ball 40 yards outside on a dime. Or talking about how he has the ability to escape the rush and make an off schedule play. Or putting the team on his back in the sb and scoring the game winning td. Bringing up his leadership is really the only thing they have to keep any negativity off of them and out of the locker room.

Hopefully they can talk other GMs into seeing what a great guy he is
Why would they do that when they are ok with him coming back? The only people that really
want him gone are the Jimmy victims who blame Jimmy for everything, even make up conspiracies about not being to extend players and like your saying a terrible attitude. I've provided quotes from multiple teammates who have went to bat for him every chance they have gotten. These guys want to win, not be potentially held back by a guy who's played 10 quarters. Again, don't think that's a hit on Trey but expecting a 22 year old to carry the team during a SB window is not the brightest idea.

Not sure if you noticed, but they spent 3 first round picks on his replacement, and have been trying to trade him, which is no secret. Pretty sure the team wants him gone too, problem is nobody else wants him.

The love stuff is a bunch of baloney-talk as you cannot test or measure anyone else's love aside from your own.

But credit for his leadership? Yea,...we credit him for his leadership as well. Silent, non-arrogant, and by example.

What's the problem?

We didnt need to you to prove it again but thank you regardless.
It's pretty normal for players to praise their QB. Saying he's a good leader is about the least you can say if there isn't a lot of other things to talk about. When they rip their QB, now that's news.

Can you please provide your evidence(like I do and you guys don't) that he is a terrible leader? Lets hear it.

Some people just don't understand football its ok. We don't have a level of football IQ necessity to the forum so we have to deal with people who have no clue.

The biggest conspiracy is believing Jimmy will be on the 2022 roster lol

Who said he was a terrible leader? We are just saying that calling someone a leader is like the bare minimum for praising a QB. That doesn't mean he is a poor leader. All QB's should be good leaders. Its part of the job description.

I use coach, players, owners, and GM's quotes, what do you use? I ask for proof that he's a bad leader like Gore says and you guys responded and nothing. You guys literally create nothing out of thin air.
Irsay on Carson Wentz

"I think the worst thing you can do is have a mistake and try to keep living with it going forward," Irsay said, via the Indy Star. "For us, it was something we had to move away from as a franchise. It was very obvious."

But our guys are lying. You guys have zero proof, none, zip nada that Lynch, Shanny, and York are lying besides conspiracies. I on the other hand have actual 100% non filtered words from them lol. Lol the audacity and the tin foil hatness of Jimmy Victims.
