Wonder why nobody on the Browns have come to Bakers defense while a vast majority of have for Jimmy?

I'm still trying to figure out one thing Baker has accomplished so much so that he now has a Baker fan club(albeit one or two super fans)here.

"6. Carolina Panthers: The Panthers are having tackles in now, and in the coming days, after having six quarterbacks in over a three-day period (Monday to Wednesday). And I wouldn't rule out the idea that they'd take a tackle, and maybe swing a trade for Jimmy Garoppolo after the draft, since the need for a tackle here is pretty significant."

he has them taking a QB just because but he believes they will try to move down.

Do it

Yeah I mean I'm not saying it likely but if they moved down on draft night…don't be shocked.

I'm pro anything that gets him off the team.
I mean Jimmy beats Mayfield in every single statistical category but the same guys who are triggered by Jimmy everyday of their lives(I just want him gone) for being better at everything, absolutely love Mayfield for being worse at absolutely everything. I'm not surprised about the inability to answer my question.

As I've said it's not even about football anymore for some. Not all but some.

What are you talking about? Who wants Baker? Other than being cheaper and younger and slightly better deep ball, there's no reason any team would rank Baker over Jimmy in a vacuum. But neither are the answer, so I could understand a team valuing their money when liking at both.

Are there Baker apologists?

Probably because the Browns just got Watson.

As of the end of 2020, Mayfield was better. Had a better year than Jimmy ever did (don't even try with passer rating, which counts completion percentage twice; QBR is better, and his was better than 2019 Jimmy), and was seen as ascending. As of 2021, however, Mayfield returned to what he was prior to 2020, and thus is clearly inferior to Jimmy except in maybe athleticism and age. It's too early to tell for sure if it's a regression to the mean and 2020 was the anomaly, but I would say the odds favoring Mayfield being closer to what he was in 2021 than 2020. Which means both he and Jimmy are probably tier 2 QBs with Jimmy ahead of Mayfield. In fact, by this metric, which I posted a bit ago, Mayfield is just at the top of tier 3 (the purple dot right below the red bracket):

So, 2021 Mayfield was barely starter quality.

Now, which 49ers fans love Mayfield? I'd be interested to know who those guys are and where their posts stating they love Mayfield are. As I said above, he only beats Jimmy in athleticism and age. And as for why there aren't legions of Browns fans to defend him, well, for one, he's not nearly as charismatic and good looking as Jimmy. He's annoying. Two, Browns fans live in reality, while 49ers fans tend to be delusional (thanks to five Super Bowl wins and I think 18 years of 10 win seasons in a row). Three, the Browns just got Watson.

Baker 3563 yards 62% 7.3 avg 26 td's 8 inter 95.9 rating
Jimmy 3810 62.8% 8.6 avg 20td' 12 int 98.7 rating in two less games. That was last year which is Jimmy WORST year.

Yeah, athleticism and age, I agree. I do appreciate you answering but I wasn't talking about you to be honest. I was talking to the guy who said he would take Baker but really has no explanation(never... NEVER does)as to why besides that he "just wants jimmy off the team".

(edit with your edit)Agree Jimmy is higher Mid Tier 2 qb. That's pretty good comparably. That seems like starter quality to me unlike the Baker fanboy thinks

Really tired of using stats to prove this guy is better than that guy. It doesn't matter since neither JG or Baker are getting much love form other teams.

Jimmy and Baker are in the same class basically. Both are average starters in this league. Jimmy is a bit more consistent, while Baker has more big play ability, but neither can consistently beat teams with their arm.
YPA in a season
Jimmy's low 7.8
Bakers high 7.7

Same class

What does that mean, consistently beat teams with their arm?? Does a QB need to pass for 50 attempts a game to beat teams consistently with their arm??

For me, that means to consistently convert on 3rd down and average 2 or more td passes per game.

Dude he just prefers one mediocre QB over another one. Neither are that great, coming off injuries, have limitations, and have cap implications.
methinks he'll be traded on draft day.
