What does that mean, consistently beat teams with their arm?? Does a QB need to pass for 50 attempts a game to beat teams consistently with their arm??

49 of them could've been dump-offs,....so no.
Nah

The OP asked about "a QB",.....not Jimmy G.

50 attempts a game doesnt mean you are beating a team with your arm. Delve deeper.

It seems what he was saying is that Trey Lance is a better leader than Jimmy G.

All I heard was him reminding us what a massive s**t stain he is. Grant is just upset Jimmy talks to women other than his mother.

Oh one, non-Jimmy fan say yes to 50 attempts and now another non-Jimmy fan says no once I found a comparison that showed Jimmy was better in. Typical webzone.

Really tired of using stats to prove this guy is better than that guy. It doesn't matter since neither JG or Baker are getting much love form other teams.

Jimmy and Baker are in the same class basically. Both are average starters in this league. Jimmy is a bit more consistent, while Baker has more big play ability, but neither can consistently beat teams with their arm.

What does that mean, consistently beat teams with their arm?? Does a QB need to pass for 50 attempts a game to beat teams consistently with their arm??

For me, that means to consistently convert on 3rd down and average 2 or more td passes per game.

You sure about that, because in comparison to Garoppolo and Mahomes 2019 stats, one QB passed for 2 or more TD's 6 times, while the other passed for 7 times. Guess who passed 2 or more TD's 7 times??

Ah but the guy who did average that ended up being the league MVP in 2019. The guys who can consistently beat teams with their arm year in and year out end up in Canton, Ohio. Those who can't usually don't.

What is Mahomes career average td's per game?

What is Jimmy's career average td's per game?

Oh so now its a different narrative. Lol

TIL Jimmy isn't as effective as Patrick Mahomes.

Imagine that guy being the standard.
JG is a face of the franchise QB (Subway)

😂

who gives a crap if Jimmy went to the masters then went to hooters with the bros? Sounds like a good day to me.

I said averages two or more td's per game. You compared one season between Mahomes and Jimmy. Where did I change the narrative? If anything, you changed the narrative.
Payton Manning is the only retired player to throw over 2 tds per. The only other 3 are current players which are Rodgers, Herbert, and of course the leader, Mahomes at a measly 2.4.

Drew Brees, Andrew Luck, and Tom Brady clocking in at 1.95 plus? Scrubs.

Okay. You got me. Tom Brady and Drew Brees were just a smidge under 2 per game. The elite QB's put up close to 2 or more. That just goes to show you that elite QB's are rare. There just aren't many QB's that can consistently beat you with their arm.

You beat me to it. I didn't think of Andrew luck though.

Most telling thing about the list of players is how much the game has moved towards passing. Cool to see Marino in the top 15, and also Favre and Warner a bit lower.

I'm telling yeah Panthers are gonna try to move down, get extra picks and use one of those picks on Jimmy. Give him a small extension to spread out that cap hit and let Jimmy show what he's got. They can go all in on a QB in a yr or so.

If I'm the Panthers I'm taking Baker over Jimmy.

If the asking price of each is the same I agree.

I don't think either guy is a FQB. One has $18M FGTD the other can have his cap hit redone. Both had shoulder injuries. One is a leader/locker room guy the other is a headache there.

Lol
