Nah those are coming from your maga bros

Leave Bosa out of this.

Lol so he's gonna be better on a worse team with a worse play caller with worse receivers?

K.

If I'm the Panthers I'm taking Baker over Jimmy.

If the asking price of each is the same I agree.

I don't think either guy is a FQB. One has $18M FGTD the other can have his cap hit redone. Both had shoulder injuries. One is a leader/locker room guy the other is a headache there.

Lol

He looks stupid he's had Darnold for life and doesn't want any better what an idiot

He doesn't want mayfield

Really tired of using stats to prove this guy is better than that guy. It doesn't matter since neither JG or Baker are getting much love form other teams.

Jimmy and Baker are in the same class basically. Both are average starters in this league. Jimmy is a bit more consistent, while Baker has more big play ability, but neither can consistently beat teams with their arm.

What does that mean, consistently beat teams with their arm?? Does a QB need to pass for 50 attempts a game to beat teams consistently with their arm??

For me, that means to consistently convert on 3rd down and average 2 or more td passes per game.

You sure about that, because in comparison to Garoppolo and Mahomes 2019 stats, one QB passed for 2 or more TD's 6 times, while the other passed for 7 times. Guess who passed 2 or more TD's 7 times??

Ah but the guy who did average that ended up being the league MVP in 2019. The guys who can consistently beat teams with their arm year in and year out end up in Canton, Ohio. Those who can't usually don't.

What is Mahomes career average td's per game?

What is Jimmy's career average td's per game?

Oh so now its a different narrative. Lol

I said averages two or more td's per game. You compared one season between Mahomes and Jimmy. Where did I change the narrative? If anything, you changed the narrative.

I wouldn't say I changed the narrative, but you can't really compare Mahomes and Jimmy's career average either since Jimmy has only started two seasons. The reason I compared the two QB's during the 2019 season is to show that Mahomes, considered one of the best QB's during that year had the same amount of two TD games as Garoppolo. Wouldn't that be considered consistently beating teams with his arm?? To say Jimmy can't do it is simply false.

Now how about the 3,4,5 TD games Pat had? How many of those did Jimmy have that season

You absolutely can compare them because it is an AVERAGE per game started.

I never said Jimmy can't beat teams with his arm. I am just saying that he cannot do it consistently like the elite QB's can.

You asked, "What does that mean, consistently beat teams with their arm??"

I answered your question. You have yet to debunk my argument.

None. He averaged less than 1.2 TD passes per game including the playoffs. He had 2 TD passes in only 7 of his 19 games. The rest he had 1 or less. That's about as average as you can get for a QB in this era.

Dude he will be the same guy no matter where he goes, which is a guy who's a pretty good QB, good executor, especially in the short, inside game, who can make some elite throws, and also makes dumbfounding errors. That's not going to change.

I like Jimmy. He is obviously a good guy. He seems like a wholesome and humble guy. He does have some really good QB qualities such as his quick release and his leadership. As far as performance goes, he has been middle of the road. He has some really good games, some ugly games but mostly they have been mediocre. I wish him luck where ever he ends up. I will root for him to succeed so long as his success doesn't interfere with the success of my Niners.

By all accounts he's excellent and giving of his time with fans—until they mention Grant Cohn, then he leaves.

Yeah except you ignored ALL the relevant context which got Mahomes the MVP the year before and consideration for it in 2019 as well. For example, like the fact that the Chiefs were 27th in rushing attempts while the 49ers were 2nd (which clearly and obviously indicates the 49ers won their games with the ground, and the Chiefs with their QB's arm). Or Mahomes' 1% INT rate to Jimmy's 2.7% INT rate (best of his career). Or Mahomes' 2.3 more air yards per attempt.
