I'm telling yeah Panthers are gonna try to move down, get extra picks and use one of those picks on Jimmy. Give him a small extension to spread out that cap hit and let Jimmy show what he's got. They can go all in on a QB in a yr or so.
If I'm the Panthers I'm taking Baker over Jimmy.
If the asking price of each is the same I agree.
I don't think either guy is a FQB. One has $18M FGTD the other can have his cap hit redone. Both had shoulder injuries. One is a leader/locker room guy the other is a headache there.
Lol
He looks stupid he's had Darnold for life and doesn't want any better what an idiot
He doesn't want mayfield
Yeah, it seems dude thought he was referring to Garoppolo. Pretty sure anderson wouuld prefer Garoppolo, who is a grown assed man and a leader, as opposed to Mayfield, who is still a little boy.

I like Jimmy. He is obviously a good guy. He seems like a wholesome and humble guy. He does have some really good QB qualities such as his quick release and his leadership. As far as performance goes, he has been middle of the road. He has some really good games, some ugly games but mostly they have been mediocre. I wish him luck where ever he ends up. I will root for him to succeed so long as his success doesn't interfere with the success of my Niners.
By all accounts he's excellent and giving of his time with fans—until they mention Grant Cohn, then he leaves.
I don't blame him for that. I would leave also. I am not a fan of Cohn.

He just throws s**t at the wall hoping something sticks. Sometimes he's right though, and arrogant about it, and that's usually what pisses people off the most. In particular because, when you just throw s**t at the wall, being right is as inevitable as being wrong.

There are 2 types of sports writers. One just praises the local teams and is well liked by all. Problem is the articles are usually boring and predictable. Then you have guys like Cohn, Ira Miller, Ray Rato and others like them. They write a lot of stuff that fan boys don't want to hear and some players can't handle. They're fine with that because people read them and talk about them. That's what they get paid for.
Some of you may not be old enuugh to remember Howard Cosell but when he was on MNF he was loved and hated equally. People tuned in to hear him no matter whether they liked him or not. On Tuesday morning people were talking bout him. That's what ABC paid him for. Writers and commentators don't always believe what they say. Sometimes they just want to create a buzz.

Same people I'm guessing. Again it's not even about sports anymore. It's faaar more sinister.
You used the word "sinister" on your 666th post ... so is it satanic evil or something? I ask with all curiosity because I can't identify the personality of a fan that would hate their own quarterback so much.

There needs to be a third category -- those that keep it real. Maybe slightly more homer based, but can also say what's needed when needed.
Imagine if Maiocco every once in awhile dropped a bomb on a player or coach? Something like that.

I saw Deebo responding to the negative media posts ... I wonder who hates Deebo enough to send him a racist threatening message? I've read a lot of hateful things from the posters on this thread, but not one has even hinted that they would be guilty of that. I mean that as a compliment, because the haters don't mention that Jimmy is Italian or Polish, so I never had the feeling that anyone was really mean. I'm glad Jimmy is not responding, it was a fruitless effort on Deebo's part and it did not make him look any better.
I'll make a bold prediction ... if they sign Deebo, it means Jimmy will start. If Deebo is traded, then they are serious about Trey Lance. Kyle believes that anyone can run those routes, and Trey could get in a rhythm with a new guy as easily as with Deebo. But Jimmy needs Deebo to get the yacs that make the 1st downs, so they need Deebo. I get the feeling that they would love to trade Deebo and get back a nice pick, save money, and create a brand new superstar for Trey Lance.

The haters will do their advanced calculations and say next year:
QB Superbowl MVP wins are not a QB stat.

Eh, I can see why you would think that, but I don't really post essays about Jimmy staying on the 49ers like that joanieb guy.
