NC did not say that 0-17 = upgrading the QB position. That's how Jiks read it. All he said he would rather go 0-17 than be stuck with Jimmy again.

As far as him saying he rather go 0-17, that's too extreme for me, but I get what he's saying. Mediocrity gets coaches, GMs, and players fired. Rams could've easily stuck with Jeff Fisher and remain a .500 the and make the playoffs here and there. Rams could've stuck with Goff...Chiefs could've stuck with Alex...etc.

And we could've done the same thing and stick with Jimmy. Thankfully this FO is smart enough to realize he's not enough, so they drafted someone they think can be.

Why are there no reporters who just accurately report and don't pick sides?

Did Cohn's dad fit that bill? He seems pretty reserved right now, but I suspect he would ask the needling questions as well, to get a rise.

Everyone here knows he's a good QB. He just isn't great.

And if he somehow fixes the things holding him back and become great for the Panthers (or whoever), more power to him. He'll still cost almost 30 million though, and we'll have a guy for less than half who will also likely end up great.

We have seen enough of jimmy to know what he can do and how far he can go. we deserve something more that could get us over the hump but at least make games easier to win. to often and last year in the playoffs. we have to win games in spite of jimmy. if being competitive is your game. jimmy is your guy. i think we are looking for a little bit more

Yeah, not a good look

Too bad you can buy draft picks in the nfl like basketball.

Otherwise buy a second rounder then cut Jimmy G in July. We would still end up cheaper than holding onto him and paying him for the 2022 season.

Any rookie QB has to learn and they will make some bonehead interceptions, JG does it often and he's not a rookie.

With all the talented QB's around the league today Jimmy G ain't winning ya a SB. If Lance is not progressing year after year and is mediocre after year 4-5, 6 at the most, then it's time to try another QB @ the helm as well.

That's it TG49er. Obviously, Trey's not going to go 0-17 (and I was being extreme to emphasize the point) but JG has given us a large enough sample size for many of us to know he is NOT going to get it done and ever help us win another SB.

So I'm prepared for Lance to make mistakes and loose some close ones, get blown out, all the things that go with starting a rookie QB but at least the FO is trying to improve the position to get the team over the hump that JG never will.
