Is there a scenario where you see him still on the roster?

"Absolutely."

The league has spoken. 31 other teams think jimmy is dog s**t. Imagine the one guy responsible for trying to unload him has to fabricate answers on the Hail Mary off shot one team is dumb enough to believe him and give away anything in a trade. But hey you can believe lynch all u want. Or develop common sense and understand he's literally talking out his ass. Denial is real

Hes not even simply talking out his ass. He just isn't an idiot and going to say that Jimmy will be cut... that would make no sense if you intend to trade him. Releasing now makes zero sense. Telling teams you are going to release him makes zero sense. Free agency is over so you keep him praying for a trade until the day his contract is guaranteed and then release him.

Exactly

Yet he's honest that nobody made an offer. He's literally devaluating Jimmy's trade already with that. You guys have a fantastic conspiracy though. Calling the entire front office liars but it's good.

Not calling them liars. They said there is a possibility that he is stays. Which of course is a possibility. It wouldn't surprise me at all if Jimmy stays. Not sure Jimmy wants that tho since he said last week "last year was strange. I wouldn't wish that on anyone "

I'm saying that if their plan is to release him then you don't tell the media that. Has a front office ever said that "insert player is available for a trade but if no one is willing to trade for him we will release him" That would be stupid since they are actively trying to trade him. Which Shanahan confirmed a while back.

Just as stupid as saying they got no offers. How does that help anything? If they were going to lie, then they would most definitely not tell the entire league his worth. That's faaaaar worse than saying they might keep him which they have been saying far before FA. That's fact alone disproves your theory.

My theory of "yes there is a possibility of Jimmy staying but they aren't going to tell the media what they are going to do before they do it"

Not really even a theory. Lynch said they might keep him which is true, never questioned that. I guess my crazy conspiracy is "Lynch isn't going to give a detailed timeline of all of the Jimmy scenarios that they have discussed to the media"

Also that doesn't disprove my "theory " bc he was asked. He isn't going to lie bc it has been reported that there have been no trade offers.

Jimmy is rehabbing and Trey is working his tail off to get ready for training camp. Trey's favorite target has been training with him all off season. Jimmy's favorite target is digruntled and avoiding team off season activities. I am all for an open competition as I believe iron sharpens iron. I just don't believe the odds are in Jimmy's favor to win the competition. In fact, the odds are greatly in Trey's favor. Especially when you add in the fact that Jimmy's history of off season practice performances haven't been all that great.

It seems to me that rackofribs believes that the starting job is automatically Jimmy's. He would have to believe that. No way are they are going to pay $26 million for a bench warmer. That would be terrible business management.

Cut him!

See... This is why i call them bottom of the barrel fans. They literally would rather hurt the team and cut Jimmy then better the team by getting something out of him. Their cult like hate towards Jimmy triggers them so amazingly bad, they can't stand him on the team which is literally hurting nothing. We can still sign Deebo btw.

Just sayin...

But it doesn't hurt the team. It actually helps the team. Just sayin…….

So getting something in return is better than not getting something in return? Can you explain?

If Jimmy was hurting the team, he'd be gone. Instead... They are holding on to him until he has worth. But I'd like to hear your proof that Jimmy is the reason Deebo isn't signed if that's what you're saying. There are plenty of ways to still sign him.

Oh boy, this has been answered for you at least 10 times, all of which you want to argue. Not takin the bait, bud.

I have a question. Stating the obvious the Jimmy offseason trade has been a complete debacle. Wirh that being said IF Jimmy is still here in camp and Trey beats him for the job which is likely to happen cause the team just wants to move forward with there fiture QB. Wouldnt that make Jimmy a back up and pretty much ruin any trade value he has left? I just dont see him having value at rhat point given whats already gone down. So really whats the point of keeping him? His value isnt going to increase.

We are keeping him till he clears a physical. Right now he has a 7.5 million injury guarantee. Cutting him now cost us against the salary cap. Once he clears he gets only his guarantee 2 million against the cap. We can afford to keep him a couple months to find out if a team will trade for him once healthy. If no team trades for him he will be cut right before season starts and his 27 million becomes guaranteed.
Writer suggests 2 5th rd picks and Niners eating a lot of $$ for Jimmy G from Seattle.

As long as hes gone by training camp i'll be happy. Nothing personal hes a great guy but him being here in camp would just be a distraction and just wouldnt be a good way for Lance to take over the team.

I hear you!
Dear NY Jets MGMT,

Zach Wilson struggles and with a few more struggles he will lose confidence and become Darnold or Sanchez the next gen version.

There is currently no rip-cord if the Jets are 0-4 and Wilson is bombing.. who do you replace him with Mike White?

With each struggle he loses confidence and that's when he enters the bust zone. Instead of going down that road flip us a 4th for JG and give Wilson a lil more time to develop on the bench if he needs it. This is a win-win.
