Jimmy-

2021 stats: 18 games | 66.8 pct | 4,345 pass yds | 8.4 ypa | 22 pass TD | 15 INT | 56 rush yds | 3 rush TD | 8 fumbles

Wentz

2021 stats: 17 games | 62.4 pct | 3,563 pass yds | 6.9 ypa | 27 pass TD | 7 INT | 215 rush yds | 1 rush TD | 8 fumbles

Hurts

2021 stats: 16 games | 60.6 pct | 3,402 pass yds | 7.2 ypa | 17 pass TD | 11 INT | 823 rush yds | 10 rush TD | 10 fumbles

Tannehill

2021 stats: 18 games | 67.0 pct | 3,954 pass yds | 7.1 ypa | 22 pass TD | 17 INT | 282 rush yds | 7 rush TD | 10 fumbles

Nick Foles

A literal backup. The fact that I even have to explain is absolutely embarrassing. There's been a lot of stupid arguments but this one is top 5 easily.

Keep in mind that Jimmy also missed 2.5 games and played with semi serious injuries in at least 4. Without those injuries it's not even close.

He's right there with Ryan who didn't do anything, Cousins who is terrible against winning teams, and Tannehill who had worse stats. Only one of these guys made it minutes from a Super Bowl and only 2 have been there.

12-15

Bump

You are aware that my posts started in response to keeping Jimmy around as a back up in case Lance gets injured, right?

To which I argued that Nick Foles is a better option because in both his Pro Bowl and Super Bowl MVP seasons, he was a back up who stepped in and excelled, which is a better option than Jimmy at a cheaper salary.

Ironic, that you use the term 'stupid' and yet need to be brought up to speed.

You used one play in the NFCC to make a point. Please don't ever question my answer again.

Yeah, this is top 15 QB talent.

Go look at the last offensive play of the benagls in the superbowl. Burrow played it exactly the same way. Burrow is a top 15 qb right? The oline is s**t. It was a problem this year. It was a problem in the niners superbowl. And this organization continues to ignore it by filling in gaps with past their prime veterans, s**tty journeymen, and udfa rookies.

But keep blaming one guy.

I hate to beat a dead horse but how people just place blame all on one guy and can't see this problem is beyond me.

Now I gurentee you I can find similar mistakes if not worse by a vast majority of the QBs in front and behind him.

Dumb dumb dumb argument lol

Not one play, a pattern. You do remember that Shanahan only allowed him to throw it 8 times in the 2018 NFCCG, right?

That's laughable, no team keeps $20 mil dollar QB on the bench unless he's a rookie in training. As an owner of an NFL team would you allow that??

A pattern. "But his inflated stats from throwing to Deebo in Shanahan's offense says he's top 15!"

Delusional.

It's not just people Kolohe, it's also the FO. This off-season speaks volumes. The draft sent a clear message:

- we're okay without our best OG
- we're okay with questions at C
- we're okay with not upgrading RG
- we're okay with who we have currently on the OL
- we're okay with losing Tartt and replacing him with two guys who don't have his speed or range
- we need more talented runners and receivers, not blockers
- we need more role players on the DL (Edge)

This off-season and draft says to me the FO think Jimmy was the problem and Trey will be the answer.

Trey Lance better be the answer and he better guide the 9ers back to the Super Bowl in his second season starting or someone's head will roll. And I'm willing to bet Lynch would be fired before Shanahan.

You just gonna post Jimmy's INT's, cause you know Jimmy isn't the only QB who throws picks. See Matt Stafford and how he threw 3 picks in a win vs Minnesota, no one talks about that because his defense bailed his ass out. What about Stafford's INT vs the 9ers in the NFCC, no one talks about that because again, his defense bailed his ass outa that too.

Jimmy wont be the backup if trey cant do it.

Thats the problem with your foles proposal. He will have to start 14 games not 1.5. DCs will eat him alive with all that tape. Hows his quick release coming along?

Are saying 16-32 don't throw bad passes?
Dumbest argument here and there have been guys that created a conspiracy that Jimmy faked injury

Stafford isn't top 15 guys

LOL DUMB.
The surgery definitely played a part but it's pretty telling that not one single team believed in Jimmy enough to make him their guy.

What? No way hes going to do that. The youngest qb to win a superbowl is big ben at 23 going on 24. With a full workload in college and 1 full year pro experience.

So dont even wish and dream that out loud. Wont happen this millenia for trey or anyone else.

This is what im talking about regarding protecting trey. Sheesh.

I think if he was a Free Agent, he would easily get signed, but at a MUCH LOWER salary than what he is getting now.

His current contract is what teams are scared of, and I'm guessing the 49ers are not willing to help pay for part of it. But we will see what happens between now and the start of the season.
Anyone on here who has seen my posts, knows I've always liked JG - but I must say I'm very disappointed that he has been traded. It'll be awkward taking him into the season. I really hope we can off load him - even for a 6th round pick. It's important we clear his cap off the books.

Agree,. lynch is very very borderline with me.. we had two huge areas he did not address, i guess the answer is "our guys" well people like our guy in tartt suck in case they want to bring him back. and the safety thing.. i think lynch actually said we like our guys and rookies to do the job.. a rookie would be fine if we was a top pick this year but he was not.. i am fine with the edge rusher at number two.. but fans or lynch fans can set there with a straight face and tell me. the best player at the time with the third pick was a running back and a very good center or safety could not have been found??
