I'm very curious.

The niners drafted Trey to replace him.
He's pretty much gone when he's all healed up.
He brought a winning culture back to this organization. Player after player have defended him.
All the above yet you still feel the need to bash the guy even to this day.

Why? What's the obsession?
ruining two great seasons that could have brought our beloved 9ers two more Rings is a start

Im sorry, but what were the 49ers before he even came here? You can't make the assumption that if there was another qb on the roster they would have been just as successful.

He goes down the season after the superbowl and the team implodes.

Besides, it's over now, and you still seem so angry. Why not post kaps s**tty passes to Crabtree in the superbowl, over and over and over again.
What happened before jimmy is irrelevant.
His injury wasn't the only major injury that help tank two seasons
not angry at all and Kaep is not on the team

It isn't wrong to call a spade a spade

I guess I'm more forgiving. I'm not sitting here and saying Jimmy is a great qb. But I appreciate the turnaround this organization had with him as the qb. And the team was successful with him. So I don't get the continous bashing.

Do chiefs fans keep bashing Alex Smith? I think they actually like him over there. I'm so confused.

Kyle Shanahan brought the winning culture back, not Jimmy. Follow Jimmy to his new team if it hurts you so much.

Maybe, maybe not. We have nothing to base that on. We have Kyle's record without jimmy. Was it Brady or belicheck?

The next 2 years will be telling.

Jimmys running what hes told.
So he cant change the play? Cant he read defenses? He MUST do exactly what he is told and disregard everything on the field.
Wow, that's worse than I thought.

"Jimmy is just doing what he is told" is one of the worst excuses ever made on this website.....yet some posters truly believe this. Baffling.

You dont think kyle ranks his options? And tells jimmy/cj/nick exactlly what to do when? Then chews their ass out if they change one little thing and it goes wrong? Cmon man.

And for all that s**t jimmy threw the ball in the right place and deebo fkd it up. Your 24m dollar man. Jimmy made the play deebo messed up and your complaining about jimmy not reading option 5. Who was wide open because the single high broke after jimmy committed.

Just get yourself a jimmy voodoo doll and stick him with pins so you can stop bothering everyone in this forum with your mindless specious attack dog b******t.

Jimmy g. Grrrrrr. Grrrrt. Grrrrr.

Before you go on your rage rants to protect Jimmy, at least learn wth you're raging about first, bc you always say things that are absolutely not true.

This is absolutely wrong! Kyle has said multiple times before about pre snap read, 2nd / 3rd options / checking down.

Who the hell knows where you come up with that statement. Maybe that stuff flies in high school ball, but not in college, and especially not the NFL.

You're arguing with a guy who ranks DBs by shin size…stop wasting your time.

Hearing you, and not sure about the obsession either. To me, for some posters and what they continue to throw up in this thread, it's very revealing in a few ways.

Yes, it would have been incredible if he could have done more to help to pull out that SB and get #6 for this franchise. And then, done more to get past the Rams last year (and after that, helped to win last year's SB - I think that team would have handled the Bengals again). Still makes me as pissed as anyone in thinking about all of it.

I have as high expectations for the QB position and for this franchise as any fellow fan in having seen (and remembering clearly) the excellence in bringing home five SBs without a loss. That said, I can also appreciate the mostly very good QB play from Garoppolo during his time here in helping this team get back to winning, winning 35 of the 51 games he started (yes, helping - but also playing a key part many times at the most position in sports over those 51 games).

Along the way, he also helped this team put up 27 ppg., win nine games with late-game key drives, and go 4-2 in the playoffs (many teams don't have ANY recent playoff victories...the Steelers, maybe the top all-time NFL franchise, haven't won a playoff game since 2016).

It's comical to see some of these posts trying so hard to tear Garoppolo down and pick apart plays/missed opportunities here and there. Yes, his streaky play at times was frustrating...his occasional bad decision making/TOs had me screaming at the TV...yes, all the injuries were frustrating...and again, coming up short in the SB & NFCCG. Yet for some posters in here and their football takes pertaining to Garoppolo as an NFL QB...let's just say it tells me all I need to know and it's not worth the time of day.

In going forward, just have to hope Lance is that guy to lead the team and not just be better than Garoppolo but help get this franchise over the hump in winning more SBs.
