That was not Lances first NFL Throw. It wasn't even his first throw from that particular game (a 16 yard completion). He'd already made 178 yards NFL regular season pass yardage at that point. He ended the season TD:5, INT:2.

Four of those five td's were Jimmy's, that shanny cleverly redirected to a rookie after Jimmy led the offense to the red zone. I'm sure that will come up in restructuring talks with Jimmy, if it hasn't already.

That is a lie. Two of the five, not 4 of the five. He had a passing TD against the Lions and a rushing TD against the Packers. After that, Shanahan completely stopped substituting him into games.
hook line and sinker ^^^

grr grr lol

I worded that wrong. Should have been one of the five because one of those TD's as a substitution was a rushing TD. So four of the five were actually thrown in two and half games when he was starting.

Not to mention the Packers TD came after 3 garbage plays with bad quarterbacking, and Kyle needed to bring Trey in to give us our best chance at a TD there.

Jimmy supporters appreciate what Jimmy has done for the organization, hope Trey can get us over the hump.

Jimmy haters want Jimmy to burn in hell while Trey is our lord and savior who has Neo like powers.

Jimmy haters have serious problems with appreciation. I think they hit their mom in the face when they didn't get the Christmas present that they wanted.

Jimmy is like the first present they opened Christmas morning that was not what they wanted and they keep staring at the big unopened present, not even knowing whats inside.

This is actually dead on accurate. Jimmy is the present that nobody wanted, which should be evident by the fact that teams were willing to settle on presents like Mitchell Trubisky, Marcus Mariota and Jameis Winston instead.....or willing to roll the dice with drafted QBs that the masses don't believe will be very good.

Nice post.
And for the record, I appreciate what Jimmy was able to do here. He was able to be a massive improvement over every QB in the Shanahan era and stabilized the position. But its been time to try to improve, which is what we did when we drafted Lance.

Jimmy is the funny tie that dads get for Christmas from their kids. They have to pretend to like it.

Nah I think most just accept it at this point. As much as it makes sense to just rip off the bandaid with Lance bc they eventually have to. We can all see Lynch and Kyle being afraid of the unknown.

March 1st I thought 0% chance he stays
Today- 75% chance he stays

If it's for $25 million, then yea. If he's willing to take a pay cut down to the vet minimum and understands his role is to backup Lance and Sudfeld, then it's a little more palatable. I'd still prefer to keep Purdy over Jimmy and I hope the coaching staff gives Purdy a legitimate shot to unseat Jimmy as the 3rd QB.

Maybe a little. However, chances of Jimmy keeping the job all season (if the job is handed to him) are very slim. He will either lose it due to poor play like what almost happened after the Cotls game or due to injury which is even more likely.
