Jimmy is a capable bridge QB. I don't know if they actually want to groom Matt Corrall or will they see if next year there's a better crop of QBs.
I'd predict Jimmy to Carolina and Baker to Seattle.

Yeah you'd think that would make the most sense. If I was Carolina I would give Jimmy a small extension as well. Lower the cap and help with bridging to another QB if he's not there guy after a yr. They aren't gonna land a big fish via trade…no elite QB wants to play there.

Well, if you look at his training camp numbers between the two, one could see why. Jimmy had about a 1 to 1 TD/INT ratio, while Lance was about 4 to 1.

Why? This tells me you didn't watch any of Trey's tape. The NDSU offense is remarkably similar to the base Shanahan offense (before the changes which were made to accommodate Garoppolo).

Cohn likes to be controversial, and he'll throw a bunch of s**t at the wall until something sticks. At first he was against Lance. By the draft, he thought the 49ers should draft Lance—IF they took a QB. But he's on record saying, since they traded up to 3, that they should use it to draft Kyle Pitts.
