Sure. I would be happy with anything at this point. I just don't see that much of an advantage for the Browns to trade when they could just sit a few weeks and pick him up in FA, while also enticing Jimmy with a better offer, like SWH said. The Browns gave up a lot of draft capital for DW. I don't think its in their best interest to give up any more of their draft picks, especially for what they hope is only a 1 year rental.

He wouldn't sign there. If we cut him, I can only see him going somewhere he has the chance to be a long term starter. Why would he sign there just to be back in this situation again next year?

Because he needs to build his value back up. He also needs to prove he can stay healthy before any team is giving him another long term contract.

I just don't see one good, healthy year erasing how he's currently viewed by the league. Maybe, again just my opinion. But I wouldn't unless it was a big payday. Don't think the Brownies would give us much in trade for him, but if we got anything, be more than what I've been thinking.

It won't, especially after his healthy year in 2019 proved to be an anomaly.

Teams go decades in search for high end QBs and will give their left nut to get one. . There is always a market for great QBs. He just isn't one. The entire league spoken.

I don't think there is always a great market for QBs.. I used to think that.. but we saw Willis mocked maybe top 10 he went round 3... Howell was mocked round 2-3 he went round 5.. Strong was mocked round 3 he went undrafted.. Ryan a HOF QB went for a 3rd... Market is oversupplied right now and weak. Baker a former #1 overall still very much in his prime went for pretty much nothing.. teams simply didn't need QBs this offseason nearly as much as a typical year imo.. tell Cam Newton the market is strong..

We drafted TL cuz JG missed most all 2018.. we gave him a pass that was a one-off.. but then he did it again missed most all 2020.. too injury prone..

No I haven't, sorry. Really was just responding to whether or not Jimmy would consider going there if cut. Again, just my opinion.

In a league where you mostly likely will never establish any kinda of long term success with out a great QB, there will always be a market. The league will never be saturated with high end QB talent because it's one of the hard positions in sports to play at a high level. A saturated market is excuses.

The fact that the college draft was lacking should have improved JGs marketability.

Matt Ryan is old and overrated.

Brissett was added the day after Watson was brought into CLE. He's a good fall back.. a fringe starter type player..

My question and Pat McAfee asked this on his show.. if they didn't think Brissett was the guy in the event of a Watson suspension.. why did they sign him..

Because they still needed a backup quarterback. I'm sure they were also hoping that Watson wouldn't see more than 4-6 games suspension, which Brissett could carry you for. if they have to rely on him for any longer than that, they're screwed.

Brissett has a many months head start working all offseason with the CLE coaches and players.. that matters..

A crap quarterback having a head start doesn't change the fact that he's a crap quarterback. I don't know if the Browns make the playoffs with Garoppolo, I'm willing to bet quite a bit that they don't make it with Brissett.
Jimmy G is like the c*ck ring I left on for too long last night. It felt good for a little bit. Then it got stuck. Now it's purple and not improving.

The ring comes off once Jimmy is traded

I don't buy this he's good enough for 6 but not good enough for more.. he's either good enough to start or he isn't..

If you expect your starter to be suspended any amount of games you get someone good enough to start to back him up.. which I feel is what they did..

Granted this is the Browns.. a club that thought giving all their picks and dollars for a pervert was a good idea.. so who really knows what they are up to

They moved on from Mayfield cuz they wanted an 'adult' in the room and they got Bill Cosby
