Maybe the team doctor felt like his preliminary exam he could tell it didn't completely tear or something.

I think they'd go with Flacco if he's out, anyways. Cleveland is our best bet for Jimmy.

I don't see it. Flacco looked washed up years ago, let alone now. He could pinch hit for a few weeks, but Jimmy is still in his prime and significantly better than Flacco IMO. And the Jets presumably are running that Shanahan style offense, so Jimmy could be plug and play. Hell, for this year at least, he'd probably play better than Zach Wilson would. Get on the phone Lynch.

I hope Wilson is fine (not season ending). Sure, it could mean they try to trade for Jimmy if he's hurt but I really want to see Wilson improve and play like he did at BYU.

I agree. I would rather see Wilson get a chance than the 49ers getting a 6th from the Jets. Definitely since Browns might want him anyway

Jets have had bad luck with their QB getting injured in the preseason from Mark Sanchez to Pennington they seem snake bitten with their QB getting injured in the preseason

If it's not torn and he's out for a couple of weeks, I think they don't go for Jimmy and just go with Flacco.

As far as Jimmy's situation goes... I hope the NFL cracks down hard on Deshaun Watson, forcing the Browns to have to give in and trade for Jimmy. And if he goes there, I hope Jimmy does well enough to land a full-time gig in 2023 where some team will commit to him.

Same, agree 💯%, I like Saleh and I like Zach as a player who should be given the opportunity to develop like Trey. I don't want to get some draft compensation for Jimmy because somebody else had a career ending injury. Prefer Deshaun being punished and Jimmy getting a chance because of that punishment instead of a fine upstanding guy getting some misfortune.
