I frankly don't remember how the Rams tried to start the game, but I'm pretty sure they came out with the short passing game as a counter to our pass rush. Whether they started the game out that way or it was an in-game adjustment, it was a smart decision either way on their part.
To be honest, I'm actually surprised it took them three games to figure it out. If there was one weakness in our defense last year, it's that the cornerbacks weren't necessarily as strong as the front 7 and safeties. If there was a "blueprint" to beating our defense last year, that's it. Fortunately for us, there are few offenses in the league that are good enough and disciplined to beat our defense like that.
Good post.. consider Rams won by 3 with HOF players all over the D and Kupp a triple crown WR.. we have busted up JG, OL was blown up, Tartt was doing his Stonehands impression.. and we still hung with em.
This year I guarantee KS has figured out Cooper Kupp he won't be getting his so easy anymore.. we already made a move to get some help Mr. Womack also CWard.. it's a game of adjustments we won't be defending Kupp like we did last year..
