Jimmy Garoppolo, QB, Los Angeles Rams

when they cut him for nothing, I really gotta wonder what Lynch will say. It's gonna be one helluva spin job.

I hope Warner picks him off in Week 2 when he goes to seattle.

Hmmm if I were them I would want to tank. It's really tough to admit that as a fan so I get it. Football seasons are short and offseasons are so long so tanking sucks. Jimmy would put them around the 16-21st pick I bet. Not great and you'd be living in mediocrity

I'd love it if Jimmy went there. They get about 7-8 wins & out of contention to get a elite QB and Fred Warner gets a couple gtd INTs lol.

You don't spend 27 mil just in case a guy might get hurt though. That's dumb. That 25 mil carryover will have a big effect on upgrading the team in 2023. Losing it for an insurance policy makes no sense.

Gonna be tough to argue anything other than this was a mistake. They overvalued an asset.

Lol this has been discussed so many times in here, including yesterday. Just go back a few pages for your answer
Should give Jimmy the veteran courtesy

Don't have time for that lol. But previous reply explains fine. Understandable reason, just not have no desire in helping that team in the Pacific Northwest

That $27 Million is huge for next season. You can carry the money over and pretty much double it. That's about 4 or 5 more players you can sign next offseason. Imagine keeping Jimmy and his $27 Million on the roster and he never plays a single game.

Hmmmm you don't say

Why does anyone bring up the $25M it's fake numbers and should have zero baring on why a team shouldn't trade for him. It's f**king dumb to even talk about it.

he will have a new deal via cut OR trade. Plain and simple. Now if the browns are cool with tanking the season with brisket because they're unwilling to toss a conditional pick and $10M for Jimmy, that's fine. Saying they're gonna have to take on $25M is a lie.

Yeah I always don't get that part as well cause you're right. Maybe Jimmy and his team is putting out to teams that he wouldn't take anything less and are unwilling to budge? I don't know

I would argue that clearing $25M in capspace in case a trade presents itself midseason or $25M in capspace that can be rolled over to next season helps the 49ers much more than it would be helping the Seahawks if we release Jimmy. Like, helps us MUCH more.
