His contract is not even close to FGTD right now
They have a stretch of Chargers, Patriots, Ravens, Bengals, Dolphins, Bills, and Bucs.... with Brissett they probably lose all 7... with Jimmy they probably still lose half. I doubt they trade for him for only 11 games.... unless he agrees to a massive pay cut. Like down to 12mil

I was told by the self proclaimed "unbiased"posters that Jimmy would make MORE money this season.
Watson didn't look good in recent preseason games. What make the Browns think Watson gonna be good after 11 more games away.

The Browns are totally unpredictable. No sense, rhyme, or reason

He'll be lucky to get that when he hits FA.

Trading for Jimmy allows them to win probably 4-6 of the 11 games, where Brissett would win 2-4 in that stretch. He's essentially 2 (+/- a game) more valuable than Brissett (which could be enough to make the playoffs if Watson returns and immediately cooks).
I heard that if they trade Jimmy in the season they can carry over part of that money to next year or something like that. Is that true?

Breaking news from 2018, which in and of itself is an oxymoron.

Can't make this bleep up.

So if they found indisputable proof tomorrow about who killed 2pac, it wouldn't be breaking news because that happened in 1996?

But it's not indisputable proof.. it's definitionally hearsay.. Simms saying he heard from others but didn't actually witness himself.. and those others are unnamed.. we don't even know who exactly those others are.. it's 4.5 year old hearsay..

Breaking news refers to when the news breaks, not when the content of the news happened.

Your post I am replying to has nothing to do with what Simms said or the content of anything.
to add a little. it's not just 2018..it's every offseason.. when he's gone, he gone (probably taking care of Krafts GF's baby)

facts

Watson needs six games in 2022 to toll his contract and get paid $46 million in 2023 instead of repeating the year of his contract with only $1 million base salary

Waste of a roster spot. We'd lose a valuable back up at some other position just to carry someone who has zero chance of being with the team. Hes going to get released.

Yeah it's stuff that could have been known and reported years ago.. why didn't these coaches leak to Simms years ago when it happened? Why are we just hearing it this offseason.. when we are attempting to unload JG

Odd timing.. particularly for hearsay.. I mean if they had proof of a crime like you mention or illegality.. sure.. I find hearsay about missed texts from nearly 5 years ago to be a little silly.. comes off like an onion article.. joke/clown story..

I agree it makes sense but I don't see the Browns doing it. They probably think that Brissett can keep them around .500. Which I disagree but I just don't see it happening. I live in Browns country and the team is stupid

They suck one thing ppl aren't realizing the guys in the locker room are real ppl. Imagine your office hired a pervert at 40x your salary and he got paid to be at home while you had to work with no increase.. furthermore.. imagine your office gave up all their high end copy/fax machines (draft picks).. you would be livid
