Trade might be 50 50. I certainly don't think it is dead, but if it is going to happen, it will happen quickly.

There is a good chance the Browns won't be able to sign Jimmy G. From Jimmy G's perspective, Seahawks makes much more sense. If he has options, he won't chose the Browns to head back to the bench after 11 games. He won't be "The QB" in the locker room.

Now do the team's perspective, since ultimately that is what matters most.

I was just saying the Browns cannot be betting to get Jimmy G in FA. If they want Jimmy G, they need to trade for him.

Sure, it would be dumb to bet on it. But maybe the Browns would be interested in signing him but not trading for him. Thats very possible and logical.
I never dismissed that possibility.

Have you dismissed the possibility of a trade with the Browns??

Dismissed, no. But I find it incredibly unlikely. Like, I would be shocked if a trade is completed.

They had a chance? What did Washington offer? Link

Yeah we don't know for sure. Just as we don't know which teams didn't want him for his injury, or his contact, or his skill set. It's all guesses.

We know why Jimmy can do. I'd rather see Purdy could do if Lance ever got hurt lol

Cisco, this is a blatant disregard of the natural order of things aka the depth chart. Please edit this to Sudfeld, who will actually dress this season in uniform.. thank you in advance..
you are most likely right.. but we could do worse in regards to purdy as a third stringer on the practice team. now if purdy lights it up in the next game then we have a bonofide second third string qb controversy going on!!

This is how we deal with passive aggressive types who ghost us for years.. we bend over backwards to do them favors.. yup the logic is airtight, which is why I believe it 100%

Lynch lost the poker game. Just cut him tomorrow. What's the point?

The point is to not do Jimmy nor Seattle any favors.

Why does this simple fact hurt their feelings so much? Lol

Is it possible for you to post in this thread without using the word feelings, triggered, haters, or anything of that nature? My god give it a rest.

Who cares if Seattle gets Jimmy? I find it hard to believe that even the biggest Jimmy fans would believe that Jimmy makes Seattle a threat.

Apparently, at least according to some fans, it was all a part of this highly secretive poker game John Lynch had with the NFL world.

Everybody knew Jimmy G was injured and recovering from shoulder surgery to repair the injury, but sneaky John Lynch played it too close to the vest and lost, I guess.

Couldn't sneak it by other teams that Jimmy G would not have been able to pass a physical until he recovered and rehabilitated his shoulder. What a loser.

I have said this from the jump (and yes I realize its an opinion), but I believe the injury/surgery in and of itself was not the reason teams were apprehensive about trading for Jimmy.

Teams werent willing to trade for him because of his injury history and skillset, not this particular injury that every medical professional who commented on it agreed would be fully recovered from and/or even stronger post surgery. If Russell Wilson had this surgery in the offseason, you think teams wouldnt have been lining up to try to trade for him even with a shortened offseason due to rehab? Of course they would have.

So really, the issue is that Jimmy is unreliable and cant stay on the field...combined with his actual skillset. Teams werent willing to trade for him and take the chance that he can stay healthy. A 3 month injury where he was expected to be fully recovered from isnt the reason teams stayed away. Thats just an excuse IMO.

of course this is the truth...... suddenly we are fearful of him going to seattle.. who gives a rats ass... people who say that must have zero faith in our defense... of all teams in the nfl.. we know exactly what he can not do.... i hope he goes to seattle and i hope our defense brutalizes him

we over valued jimmy... lynch thought the rest of the nfl was stupid... people saw his limitations.. and was not going to give up high picks for him... the shoulder surgery excuse is just that.. lynch over valued our guy..... and here we are.. its just that plain and simple. cut him and move on for gods sake. no one is trading for him.. no one

Yeah I'm fine if he goes there, I'm still not gonna cut him until the absolute last hr.

I'm not convinced that Jimmy going to Seattle wouldn't be the best possible scenario for us.

no one overvalued jimmy lol
Once we cut him, he will get picked up as a Backup role somewhere. No one is clamoring to get him.
