My guess is the Browns will wait until the Niners release him. It's only 11 days so why would they trade anything for him. If they were going to make a trade it seems like they would have done it as soon as Watson's sentence was announced so they could get him in as soon as possible. Of course this is the Browns who don't have the best record of making smart decisions.

Makes me wonder if his agent already worked something out in the background while Jimmy is waiting for his release. I would think his agent could. Gonna signed with a team as soon as he's released.

Agreed he already knows where he is going if not traded.
That would be tampering ?

Absolutely. And happens many times a year.

lol no.

Legal tampering for FA started like 5 months ago. He's under contract and the 49ers gave his agents approval to seek a trade.

All you need to do to avoid tampering is call the team and ask for permission.

Just curious, was the two 2nd rounders for Jimmy offer months ago legit or just a rumour?

Lynch says so, never confirmed.

49ers probably could get a hold JG to discuss the offer.

If the Browns DO want Jimmy though, they run the risk of the Seahawks picking him up if we release him.
The Seahawks is a more favorable gig for Jimmy, as he wouldn't have to look over his shoulder for Deshaun Watson coming in at Week 12.

No one is talking about a trade. The Giants for instance cant say we will pay you X amount once cut. That's tampering. Happens often but still tampering.

I think CLE is a much better landing spot, even if only for 11 games or less. SEA might have better WRs, but overall CLE is a better team (OL, rushing attack, defense) and compliments Jimmy's game.

i hate the dominoes and I hate waiting till the end of the month to cut him... if they keep him. we also have to dump a player ... man.. even the people who worship at the alter of lynch kyle would be pissed on that one. only thing we can not control is the thinking of the browns and hawks...IF they have a interest do they feel a sense of urgency to get jimmy in asap to learn the playbook thus a trade would happen or would they be fine waiting till he is cut..... interesting.. IF they even have a interest

Sure wish Lombardi was still the GM of the Browns. He said he would definitely trade for Jimmy given the recent Watson news.

All the analyst's on ESPN are saying it's going to happen.

Yea the Browns have B+ weapons on offense and an A- to B Defense. They were 5th in the year in pass defense and top 12 overall. From what I hear they may have gotten better. They have a win now team. If you roll into the season with Jacoby let's smoke the Brisket, you're telling the team and fans "Welp we tried with Watson. This probably won't work but oh well." If you roll with Jimmy then you still have a shot to stay competitive those first 11 games.

Plus, it might be for more than 11 games. Watson is probably not going to be ready week 12. With Jimmy, they don't have to rush him back.

Can Jimmy even stay healthy for 11 games?

Yeah, he can stay healthy.

Contract restructures are part of trade talks. They just carry over if the player is not traded and cut. That's why its never considered tampering.

He hasn't had a healthy 11 game stretch since 2019.

Yea thats why I used the Giants as an example. He and his agent already had contact talks "if traded". My guess is contract is already typed up and agreed too.

Why he said he can. Not he will. We all know he wont.

He hasn't done s**t all offseason. He's due for a stretch of good health.
i think my baloney sandwich trade/return prediction for JG is going to be fairly accurate.
