Imagine thinking JG had 0 good games in 2021.. yet here we are.
Jimmy is a top 20 QB in this league, but he just doesn't come up big often enough in the games that matter in January.

When the opposition sell out to stop the run we want someone who can win with his arm and that's not really Jimmy.

i like Jimmy despite him losing his brain in January , he may have not been the legendary savior that this franchise and fanbase needed, but he sure as hell did more good than harm during his tenure with the team. 49ers were by far the worst team in the league from 2015 till Shanahan and Lynch traded for him, and yes I know he wasn't the "sole reason" this team turned it around but it would be foolish to believe he did nothing but hold them back. I understand frustration in being disappointed in him though

The funny thing is, I actually believe Jimmy WAS the sole reason this team turned it around. We were a terrible team in 2017 because of s**t quarterback play. Once we finally got a starting level NFL quarterback in here, those 2 or 3 point losses turned into wins. So yeah, as much as I dont like Jimmy being the QB of this team, he and he alone was the reason that 2017 ended the way it did.

Bet you didnt expect that kind of post from a "hater" did you?

Agree 💯%, his problem isn't talent, but durability. He's plenty good to get a reasonably talented team to a super bowl, but durability is what holds him back from consistency and long term QB development. But for his injuries -- i think he'd have more time to devote to improving his mechanics and his rapport with his offense.

That comment is no more stupid than the Blaine Gabbert one. Not even slightly.

I also believe that whoever made that claim was downplaying Jimmy and/or needs to define what he considers good. But if he would have said Jimmy only had 3 "great" games last year, I would have disagreed with that too....as I dont remember a game where he had a "great" overall game.

Good is relative. IMO, Jimmy had a lot of "good" games last season. Atlanta was a good game. So was Jacksonville, Cincinnati, the first Rams game, the Cardinals game, the Bears game, etc. Plenty of good games, and more than 3. But if you want me to say what games I think Jimmy was "great" in, I would have a hard time coming up with one.

nope no one is saying that.. just your own thoughts

"Jimmy only had 3 good games, none last year"

seems pretty clear what you think of him.

Jimmy's had plenty of "good" games. Maybe he meant "great" games? Rams home game in 2019 was my favorite. New Orleans game was overrated. Just my opinion.

He deserves to be, thus far, NFC player of the week

Useless numbers without the Air Yards and ADoT breakdown. We've seen Jimmy rack up decent looking stats before on lots of short passes to Deebo and Kittle.

So….

Bears, Falcons, Rams 2x including GW drive which punched our postseason ticket, Bengals, those were all good games last year just off the top of the ol dome here
.

-1 Rams

Id include Jacksonville and probably Detroit and the Cardinals game too. But again, "good" is relative and subjective.
