Meh I don't think Tomlinson is resigned anyway. Can't justify paying him that amount of money.

Keeping Jimmy did cost us a shot at say Tyrann Matthieu though.

You mean the guy who had his hands up mid-play during the SB as they were getting smoked? He was dogging out his teammates mid-play on tilt in the SB. Good riddance.

I could see him f**king us out of an otherwise easy win while taking them to 7-10

Again I have to ask, why is this a good thing? Jimmy going to Seattle does not benefit the 49ers in anyway

Marginally better Seattle is a good thing to me. I don't fear Jimmy in Seattle he is an awful fit.

For me, it increases the entertainment value of SEA vs SF by x1000. It's like football and a soap opera mixed up in a bowl and served on a hot plate.

According to PFF, Tomlinson was a top 15 guard for the past two years. His fully guaranteed total of $13,9M ranks 7th among LGs and 18th among all guards. Hence, his salary is just about where his performance ranking. So, there is that...

But Seattle is a divisional foe, I'm no Jimmy fan but he makes them better. Why do we want our road to be tougher?

I really don't get it.

Don't think you need to worry about them. The value of his cap space in rollover cap outweighs Seattle signing him.

I don't want SEA to be better but I want to be highly entertained more than I don't want SEA to get better.

It would be interesting to see how many 49ers fans openly root for Seattle to win those games if Jimmy is starting.

It seems clear the FO recognizes that Garappolo will make Seattle better. If they didn't, they would have released him before now. The fact they are holding onto him this long is based on more than the prayer that someone will offer a bag of chips for him in trade.

I don't mind if Jimmy gets Seattle a few more wins so they may not have as high as a draft pick next year when they draft their next QB.
Trade him to Seattle. When he's cut he will end up going there anyway
