Obviously, I base that on Kyle's judgement. What else? He's the one who decided trey wasn't ready for prime time, and went with Jimmy. Trey was 21. Come on.

Kyle said they were one game away from putting in Trey (and I believe he said they may have done it earlier if Trey hadn't got hurt).

kyle didnt put trey in the playoffs where jimmy played like ass with his bun right arm. That speaks for itself. Trey was 2 years away

Oh goodness you really believe that? If we can turn back the clock, Jimmy staved off elimination week 18 with 1:30 left against the Rams. He battled against the Cowboys and put us in a position to win that game. Wasn't pretty but he did enough. Then, injured, he goes to Lambeau and played bad, however he led the 1 drive Rodgers couldn't. Why in the world would Kyle turn to Lance during that run? That would have crushed guys like Kittle, Deebo, Trent, Warner, and the other vets.

You have to think of the entire team holistically. If we turn to Lance after that week 18 performance, the team may not have liked that decision. The rhythm and timing would have been off. If we turn to Lance after the first playoff win in Dallas, the TEAM definitely would not have been on board with that. If we turn to Lance after the GB win, well you see what im getting at. There was way more nuance into the decision to keep Jimmy in that "Just play a healthy Lance." The team was riding and dying with Jimmy no matter what.

This coming from a guy who had a countdown till Jimmy was cut. Counting the days of Jimmy being a back up. lol

I know what you mean. I simply stated that I believe we would have kept 3 QB's whether Jimmy stayed or not and people come at me as if I was talking s**t on Purdy. Its impulsive and stupid.
When you have to wake up a 3 am to countdown Jimmy every single morning, that's obsessive lightweight trolling not being practical. Plain and simple. I don't think there's anything wrong with disliking Jimmy but when you to go to such lengths that many of you went to then claim your opinion is not obviously bias there's more to the story.

Part of me wants to bring constant negativity and stupid arguments to the Trey thread like you guys did here strictly just to show how annoying being negative about everything, every... single...day was/is. I won't do that because it's annoying as hell and at the end of the day it's not Treys or others posters fault theres a faction of the fans that go to any length to just be negative every....single...day...and make threads toxic. Calling people Jimmy Stans and Jimmy Cult for supporting the starting QB for example. It far more than simply disliking Jimmy.

You guys were negative after wins, after playoff wins, after everything. Again, not liking Jimmy is fine but the constant negativity and pushing of stupid conspiracies like Lynch was lying when talking about Jimmy is overboard. It really ruins a thread.

for now the noise outside of the niner inner circle about the qb thing we have is much louder than the noise inside. sure if we start out 0-5. with a roster that should win now,,, sure than things could change. but i do not think they will and all niner fans should hope that will not be the case

Hey don't argue with me. Talk to 5gr. I know jimmy gave us our best shot at the brass ring.

Exactly my point. How do you not understand the situation changed. Does a countdown hurt so bad you can't see the 20 M difference?

Good post. Will never understand the mentality of people who are so obsessed with negativity. I mean posting negativity about Jimmy at 3:53 am? Lol geezus. Imagine waking up that early and the first thing on your mind is a QB you "dislike."

I was excited he was getting cut. He isn't worth 27 M. When he resigned I was happy he is worth riding the bench at 8ish M. I was asked by many including you I believe why the count down stopped. Seemed odd to continue but many seemed to miss it. Unless you all was trolling?

So it's worth it to pay $8M for a QB who is "trash" as you and others have repeatedly said? Interesting.

I don't think we need a countup of how many days he's a backup.

I didn't either. People demanded it.
