I believe it was Chapman who said that we've started slow 4 of 5 years under Kyle. This year 'might' not be any different. It feels like the starters didn't get much time together even in an off season where we are starting a new QB.

If that happens early in the season that will be the single most idiotic thing 49ers fans have ever done.
At least with fans chanting "we want Carr" to Alex Smith, Smith had years to prove himself, albeit with a new offensive coordinator every season and terrible roster/coaching.

Personally I think there is literally zero to worry about with Jimmy and I actually think he will be beneficial to Trey. Trey is a big boy and can handle a little pressure.

Well we started 8-0 in 2019, so it is hard to call that a slow start. Granted, Jimmy only had 7 TDs and 6 Interceptions, so the passing offense wasn't exactly lighting things up statistically.
