Not me. Hope hes starting week 3. For the Browns.

Atlanta is gonna realize that Mariota just isn't the QB for the team and THEY trade for Jimmy G in week 3.

That would floor me.

Also only if they trade us Kyle Piss

Jimmy as a backup makes the team better on gamedays, and I don't see a team blowing the 49ers away with an offer they can't refuse midseason.

The "we want Jimmy chants" will be loud and deafening should the 9ers stumble out of the starting gate like they did last season.

Keeping JG has backup was the smart thing to do after restructuring his contract, but I also think It could put more pressure on Lance to exceed expectations.

I'll give it a couple weeks until you go all unhinged again and get banned like usual.

Seeing Jimmy in a backup role will probably be just that moment.

I believe it was Chapman who said that we've started slow 4 of 5 years under Kyle. This year 'might' not be any different. It feels like the starters didn't get much time together even in an off season where we are starting a new QB.

I don't think there's anything wrong with disliking Jimmy but when you to go to such lengths that many of you went to then claim your opinion is not obviously bias there's more to the story.

Part of me wants to bring constant negativity and stupid arguments to the Trey thread like you guys did here strictly just to show how annoying being negative about everything, every... single...day was/is. I won't do that because it's annoying as hell and at the end of the day it's not Treys or others posters fault theres a faction of the fans that go to any length to just be negative every....single...day...and make threads toxic. Calling people Jimmy Stans and Jimmy Cult for supporting the starting QB for example. It far more than simply disliking Jimmy.

You guys were negative after wins, after playoff wins, after everything. Again, not liking Jimmy is fine but the constant negativity and pushing of stupid conspiracies like Lynch was lying when talking about Jimmy is overboard. It really ruins a thread

I answered it. 3 am triggered you immensely. Let's not blame me.

My question was why cant someone dislike a player when massively overpaid but not when paid accurately based on skill level. And your answer is because at 27M I was a big meanie? Lol ok.

Were back to not understanding timezones.

My answer was there's a difference between dislike and having a trolling obsession. Pretty clear bro.

Big Meanie. Got it. It's funny, temper tantrum because I'm a meanie, but rather me just keep it up. Odd
Lol the guy who wakes up at 3 am obsessing about Jimmy being gone talking about temper tantrums .

Lol I digress. The audacity to blame others for your doings

That aspect was a large part of my initial reaction to the Jimmy re-signing. It's not that Kyle will care what the fans/media say, it's more of how Lance will handle it. I don't want him gripping the ball tighter after he makes a mistake, thinking if he screws up then it's another week of, "we want Jimmy" on social media. I'm past that though, and am thinking more of how having a good experienced backup makes the team better.

If that happens early in the season that will be the single most idiotic thing 49ers fans have ever done.

At least with fans chanting "we want Carr" to Alex Smith, Smith had years to prove himself, albeit with a new offensive coordinator every season and terrible roster/coaching.

I wonder which season we didn't start slow in. Nothing against you NC but that reporter saying we started slow should also include we ended slow in 3 of the 5 seasons.

If Trey is playing so terrible that our fans have to chant "we want Jimmy" then he's a legit bust. Plain and simple.

Personally I think there is literally zero to worry about with Jimmy and I actually think he will be beneficial to Trey. Trey is a big boy and can handle a little pressure.

Well we started 8-0 in 2019, so it is hard to call that a slow start. Granted, Jimmy only had 7 TDs and 6 Interceptions, so the passing offense wasn't exactly lighting things up statistically.

We have fans calling Trey a bust before he played a down, and still today after only starting two games. What makes you think our fans are reasonable enough to know what "playing so terrible" is?

I agree with the bolded part of your post.
