Jimmy as a backup makes the team better on gamedays, and I don't see a team blowing the 49ers away with an offer they can't refuse midseason.

The "we want Jimmy chants" will be loud and deafening should the 9ers stumble out of the starting gate like they did last season.

Keeping JG has backup was the smart thing to do after restructuring his contract, but I also think It could put more pressure on Lance to exceed expectations.

If that happens early in the season that will be the single most idiotic thing 49ers fans have ever done.

At least with fans chanting "we want Carr" to Alex Smith, Smith had years to prove himself, albeit with a new offensive coordinator every season and terrible roster/coaching.
If Trey is playing so terrible that our fans have to chant "we want Jimmy" then he's a legit bust. Plain and simple.

Personally I think there is literally zero to worry about with Jimmy and I actually think he will be beneficial to Trey. Trey is a big boy and can handle a little pressure.

We have fans calling Trey a bust before he played a down, and still today after only starting two games. What makes you think our fans are reasonable enough to know what "playing so terrible" is?

I agree with the bolded part of your post.
Solid point. We have fans waking up at 3 am to hate on a backup QB. Dudes like that will turn on a QB in heartbeat.

My bad.

3 am or 1 am. Or maybe he lives in Europe. Lol what a joke.

Why does it matter what time a person posts? I post past midnight sometimes. Does that make me a no life loser or something? Is this some kind of 'gotcha' moment you are trying to get at? Rhetorical questions. Talk ball or log off.

I tried. Hurt some feelings. Sorry. I'll keep trying.

This. I work concerts and most nights don't even get home until 3 AM. That is when I browse through here more often than not. No matter what my time zone is, people gonna hate on me because of my work schedule? Either get a life or a firmer grip on reality.

omg you're such a loser posting at 3am omg I got you you are so moded.
If anything, props to you for being tired and still wanting to consume 49er news. True fan.

I've posted plenty of times at 1 am and 3 am, it's not about the time. It's about the content relative to the time. Posting a Jimmy G countdown to getting cut or Jimmy count as days of being a backup strictly to troll at 3:53 am is not being a "true fan." It is beyond obvious what Strwy is doing, yet you continue to let him get away with it. If anyone needs to be told to "talk ball or log off," it's him. And a few others, but he's the worst.

Understood. I'll do better at keeping things on topic. Posting a count up/down of when Jimmy is a backup is still football related even if it isn't considered discussion. Talking about other posters is not football related at all.
Main point here is I'll do better at moderating the QB threads to keep it about football.

It obviously doesn't make you happy, but he's posting about Jimmy the QB, not about other posters. Plus the count downs/ups take about 2 seconds to read. Not a big deal.

If they get #6 this year we may actually be able to discuss that.

I'm in the Jimmy thread because I like Jimmy, as a QB and as a person/leader/personality. He's a Niner, so I root for him. It makes sense why I'm here. WHY ARE YOU HERE? Same goes for Strwy, 49erRing, etc. Why come to a thread to talk about a player that you don't like, root against, and want off the team? And now he's the backup, so won't be playing, so it makes even less sense why you're here. But at least you attempt to talk about football, as little as you know about the game and the position of QB. So I'll give you that. Strwy posts NOTHING about football (sorry TH, counting the days as backup is not "about football" that's just silly talk), yet here you are "defending" him.

Jiks, you've been around during the AS years, you should know better.

AS negativity>>Jimmy -- when it came to QBs

And it's not even close.

Most talked about niner though? TO was way more polarizing than anyone else in niner history. Haley is up there too.
