If Jimmy wanted to be a Ram, he could have been. Simply tell the 49ers to take their $6 offer and shove it. Then get released and become a Ram. He likes holding the clipboard for a great QB, and that's why he's back as a 49er

Just tells me the Rams offer was less than the 8ish he's gonna get here.

Unlikely. Jimmy earned his incentives so his agent would have the bare minimum it would take to bring him in already.

He's been 100% cleared to practice and play. I don't believe this.
I do believe it. He was a little sheepish during his press outing and said at one point 'I'm still having to get used to it' or something similar. Gave me red flags to be honest.
This is from what I heard from Greg papa. Yes he's been medically cleared to throw but that doesn't mean he's 100% recovered. Papa said he doesn't seem to be able to fully cut loose with his throws. There was an article on the web page that said something similar. He may just be reluctant to throw hard which is common after a surgery. It's only natural to fear injuring it again. Being a backup will allow him to gradually build strength.

If the Broncos get their asses hand to them today-Shefter-Anonymous source-"Broncos were all in on JG"
If Bucs lose today-Shefter-Anonymous source-"Bucs were in on JG"
Etc etc
Its funny how these stories come out after something happens like for example the Rams losing and Stafford sucking etc and not before

Jimmy wouldn't be the starter for the Rams. lol. Not unless Stafford got hurt. He has a better chance of playing in SF...

We're not "paying" cap space. No such thing. The portion not reached easily rolls over to next year, which is extra money we can use to eventually resign someone like Bosa.

BTW, that narrative we couldn't buy any more FA's because of Jimmy's contract was complete B.S. and blown up. It was a conscious decision just like it was to pay JG $14M as a backup.
Misinofrmation. We're paying about $7M and if he reaches some of the incentives laid out by playing, he deserves them.

He gets to rehab his body and get more ready for next year. Very easy decision once no one actively went for him.

Well, at least now we know why Jimmy stayed. He knows he'll be the starter soon enough

Anybody know Kyle's record without Jimmy?
And no this has nothing to do with Trey for the 3 am'ers.
