Max Jones has a back injury apparently.

Trade Jimmy back to New England for a 2nd. Shut up all the Trey haters that will be calling for Jimmy every chance they get.

Would be nice.

With Matt Patricia as the play caller lol?!??!?? Jimmy will veto that trade in a minute.

Yeah Kendrick Bourne will probably tell him to stay away.

I agree, but that won't stop the talk from starting.

Trey Lance sucked today. No part of his game was good. Garoppolo would have won this game easily.

But, he isn't starting. Lance is. That's life.

I don't think Jimmy wins this game "easily". Maybe he does or he doesn't, but the elements were horrid. Trey isn't solely to blame for today. And while I think starting a raw QB on a team ready to win now is a bad idea, today's game is certainly not the day to start the "bench Trey" conversation.

I agree. Shanahan made the decision to roll with Trey Lance, so you roll. The worst thing Kyle could do right now his put Trey back on the bench. It is just going to be a rough ride.
LMAO this dude played AWFUL in Washington under similar conditions. He's not playing unless Trey gets hurt. Sit down and be quiet. Lance needs time just like Allen in Buffalo those of you expecting anything other than growing pains need to educate yourself.

I agree that benching Trey will be a disaster. And idk if he and the team bounce back from that.

Unfortunately, I also think it is well within the realm of possibility. While today isn't the day to start having the conversation, I also think it is well within the realm of possibility that Trey's inexperience necessitates the conversation.

I'm not predicting it will or won't happen. Just saying it's a very realistic possibility.

People are acting like Trey succeeding and becoming the next Josh Allen is a given. It's far, far from that.

The "we want Jimmy" chants are getting closer.

This could be a long season for us all.

It could happen next week if Trey sucks balls in the 1st half...LoL. I mean if we are 0-2 after next week, the converstions will start

Conversation with the fans. Teams not changing anything unless injury.

If we go 0-2 after next week, the talk will start

Highly doubtful. You don't bench your #3 pick after 2 games.

You do if you're losing cupcake games on the schedule and you're expected to make the playoffs.

Lol no

Convincing.

You want to bench our #3 pick after 2 games. There's nothing to convince. Glad your a fan.

2 games. No. Absolutely not. Not two games. No way.
This entire thread is a farce now. The only way Jimmy ever sees any action in a Niners uni again is if there is a catastrophic injury to Trey before the trade deadline.

You'd throw trey in front of Denver and LA If we lose to Seattle next week?

You also said that he wasn't coming back so while I agree, the fact that you said this probably means he will see action

Or they keep losing games with 10 points of offense and a 50 qb rating.

NNo this game wasn't on tray. It was on shanny. He refused to call plays that he needed to because he lacked confidence in his QB. That's a way worse problem than Trey not executing.

While we're on the subject of things Trey could be doing better, probably a good idea to have him work on quickening up his release his wind up his read progression and decision making.

If we bench Trey, it won't be because we are winning

Being a good team that makes the playoffs but doesn't have enough to win a SB is literally what we'd get by putting Jimmy back in. We've done this. Jimmy is a good QB, but not good enough to elevate a team to a SB. He's literally the worst 4th quarter QB in NFL playoff history.

Lance was mediocre today. Similar to Jimmy in the monsoon game vs IND, Lance didn't win or lose this game. Penalties on defense did.

Going back up Jimmy would be throwing the towel in on Lance, and essentially hammering the nails to the coffin of the Shanahan/Lynch's tenures.
