Idk with Trey's running style and the oline I think we might need a couple games from Jimmy this year. Unless it's a 1st I'm not even picking up

Noway I am giving 1 of the top teams in the NFC a QB for anything less a 1st.... even then idk

If they throw in Putney then yes
I say no rush, let them lose a game or two first, give Trey some more time to show us what he can do. Then make the trade when Dallas are desperate.

Jimmy G for Cowboys future 2nd or 3rd draft picks

Second round pick, Neville Galimore, and a future 3rd and I'd consider it. But I still think Jimmy has more value to this team on the roster.

Still not sure I would trade them Jimmy if he is out for the season, even for a 1st. I would rather them just fall and have one less competitor in the NFC. Plus with our oline and Treys running style we will probably need Jimmy at some point

Grappy and Armstead for their 2nd rounder that can be a 1st rounder..

🤣🤣🤣and there's the beyond dumb fantasy trade proposal we get every season from this guy. But I'll trade Jimmy to Dallas for a 1st, Dallas isn't even as good as they were last year and they better focus on Philly more than making noise in the playoffs. Their oline is banged up and they're already missing Cooper badly and they don't have that slot wr whose skipping my mind who went to Miami.

Cedric Wilson? I know the cowboys aren't that good but we might be fighting for a WC bc of our division so the less competition the better. Maybe I just enjoy the Cowboys losing hahahaha

While we are making dumb trade proposals. Jimmy for Parsons straight up

There you go, yes Wilson. At the end of the day if we're the team we think we can be Dallas shouldn't even be a worry and getting a 1st is best for this organization. Them getting Jimmy will still make them a mediocre team coming into 2nd in the div, they flat out just don't have the weapons to make noise. They are a far worse team than they were play year and if their d doesn't get the turnovers they got last year it's going to be very ugly. We may be picking in the teens if they give us a 1st just perfect for a MM replacement

Until Lance shows more than he did today, Jimmy stays.

This entire thread is a farce now. The only way Jimmy ever sees any action in a Niners uni again is if there is a catastrophic injury to Trey before the trade deadline.

Fading things you predict could make a person rich, lol.

I guarantee if we lose to Gino Smith and the Seahawks next week, there will be pitch forks and a insurrection, Jimmy will be back soon.

There's already pitch forks and cries of banishment going on after today

Not if its OL play and defensive penalties/blown plays that are the biggest contributor to the loss again. Unless Jimmy G has learned how to play OG or LB.

Agree with this. He probably puts up more points than trey did today and he's pretty clutch in the 4th.

That said we're probably worse on offense this year even with Jimmy because the line is laughably pathetically bad at protecting.

We're not losing to Geno, don't worry.

We just lost to a Bears team lead by Justin Fields by 2 scores. You're tripping if you think any game is a given.

You are delusional

lol the irony. Delusional fan calls realistic fan delusional.

The 49ers traded a lot of draft capital for Trey Lance. Were on to the Lance era. He had a year to learn, now he needs reps. He needs experience. It would make ZERO sense to bench Trey for Jimmy AT ANY POINT this year. We have already finalized the decision that Jimmy isn't the guy to lead this franchise anymore. Its over. Thats the entire point of getting Lance.

The end goal now is to get Trey acclimated. When you switch to a young QB with big potential, you're well aware of the downside of growing pains.

Trey is going to have bad games. He's going to screw up. He's a young QB. But he will build on the bad games and end up giving us a much better future. Big picture thinking is required here.

If Shanahan puts in Jimmy for any reason besides a Lance injury he should immediately be fired for not having a clue what he's doing. But only the fans would make that kind of move.
