It's just lack of experience. Lance didn't have much college reps, Kaep had many more college snaps and didn't play in the FCS. Kaep overall had more experience and balled MUCH harder. Remember his first game, at Chicago? He balled out.

Rembember when Kaep went ahead to head with Brady and beat New England, in New England in a crazy ass storm? I do. Lance isn't as good as Kaep yet, that's more than clear. I just hope he surpasses Kaep soon because he was much more expensive.

Jimmy G for T.Pollard and a 5th. Dallas is desperate for a QB to save their season and we need a good RB. Pollard in a KS system could be special.

This isn't close to true if you actually watch the plays. Kap didn't throw with anticipation and teams figured out you just play zone vs him.

Lance has already shown good pre/post snap awareness for a kid with his limited sample size. He's also thrown with anticipation.

Hell NO. Trey is way more accurate with his passes than Krap. Trey is a stronger runner than Krap. Trey actually goes through his progression before throwing the ball unlike Krap. Trey stays in the pocket and passes the ball if it's a passing play and doesn't take off running unless necessary unlike Krap. Trey is 110% more mature than Krap ever will be. Trey has good character which Krap will never have. Those strong positive attributes will serve Trey in the long run in the NFL unlike a fraud like Krap who was replace by Blaine Gabbert, never made 1 Pro Bowl, got Harb fired for betting on Fool's gold over a steady QB like Alex Smith in his prime and didn't earn the QB1 position, choked in the SB, and raise race issues for greed and $$$$ knowing he has been exposed for his shortcoming as a QB in the NFL, Krap is Krap and he got exposed and got exactly the Karma he deserved, never to be seen in NFL again.

Jimmy's time here is done. Due to injury he may get a few games but that's about it. Can't put too much emphasis on the results of a game that had such sloppy conditions for both teams.

Very entertaining game ... we finally got to see Lance's famous "ceiling." Those qualities that everyone says make him so desirable ... I was not impressed. Whenever he ran, which he does very well, I wondered if he was going to take another hit. Then there were the long throws, nice completions way down the field ... no time off the clock or rest for the defense. I can acknowledge that they were good plays, but I miss Garoppolo's long sustained drives. I didn't expect the 49ers to take this loss, but until Lance gets in a good rhythm with his receivers, the 49ers will lose to lesser teams. And when Kyle has seen enough, don't blame Jimmy G because he took a massive pay cut, worked himself back into shape, and is standing ready to serve.

Third down completion rate. That's what it's all about.

The conditions had little impact in the first half. We should have had at least a 14-point lead at the half. Deebo's fumble and the Kroft overthrow were not impacted by the weather at all.

That Kroft overthrow was more on Kroft than it was on Trey. Kroft is just slow and unathletic.

If Lance cannot deal with the reality that a Super Bowl contender needs a quality backup behind the starter, he needs to develop thicker skin. Prior to JG redoing his contract, there was nothing but complaining about the lack of depth behind the "very inexperienced" Lance. Now we have what we need to assure a good run to the playoffs even if Lance is hurt. Time to set the excuses aside and recognize Lance will continue to make mistakes, and some may cost us games, but being on a good team with a quality backup should not excuse anything on his part. Garoppolo has been an Alex Smith presence to Lance. This is not a Rodgers/Farve deal where the QBs hated each other.
