Yep, he is going to make up to his old contract if he keeps winning like Jimmy does

He plays remaining games and we win 8 - around $5M (extra)
He plays remaining and we do the same as last year (10 wins, NFCCG) - around $7M (extra)
We win the SB - I don't care because whatever it is would be worth it in that case.

That's on top of his base cap hit of $6.5M or so.

But that's just me doing a quick calculation.
I'm a) not an expert, and b) drinking game day cognac, so take both those things into account.

I never wished harm to Lance. I never wanted him either.

I kind of like the guy who's got the 9ers to 2 NFCCGs in the past 3 years.

I'm still not sure what his injury is. I did hear surgery and season ending.

I have no idea how anybody can watch game 1 and 2 and not see that Jimmy G is the better, more functional, more experienced QB at this point. Better able to win and go further this year certainly at least. I hate to see anybody get hurt. But for this season this is an UPGRADE at QB. There is no doubt about it at all.
