He clearly went run heavy for the lead, but Jimmy's passes in the 2nd half with the heavier rain were also less accurate. The weather did seem to impact his passing a little. Fortunately the running game and the defense did enough to win.

I'm just talking about the strength of the throws over the course of the game. He lost more and more velocity and accuracy IMHO.

Props to Jimmy for giving Aiyuk chances to makes a play. Aiyuk dropped one and drew a PI on another. Jimmy with the vertical game.

The rain? Have you not watched some of Jimmy's passes the last years? You saw Jimmy's ceiling. Not the rain.

It was the most bipolar weather game. Sunny and hot as hell to downpour and it never stopped going back and forth. It was very odd conditions indeed.

it was the weirdest feeling seeing Lance go down and for a split second feeling f**king awful and in disbelief, as if the season was lost, (which it typically is when that happens) to then seeing #10 come in, and actually experiencing a sigh of relief at the same time. 49ers got so damn lucky the way things worked out. season would be over otherwise.

dont think ive ever witnessed a scenario quite like that with lance and Jimmy. Jimmy's a good QB. team is still a contender with him. just sucks lance is going to miss on ANOTHER year's worth of crucial experience as the team is in win-now mode

agreed!!

Jimmy definitely has velocity in his ball again. I think a lot of us underestimated (or just didn't realize) just how badly his injuries toward the end of last season during that playoff run affected him.
