firstly he has a no trade clause so he can veto any trade he wants, secondly he will be a unrestricted free agent next season, and thirdly the team won't trade him if there winning this season unless they want a full on mutiny in the locker room, the only way he gets traded for anything is if he OK's it, the guy did take a pay cut from 25M to 6.5M+bonuses for control of his own destiny, and so the Niners could clear some cap space.

Doubtful. I think it's highly likely if we make the playoffs again and Jimmy asks for 30 mill or less they will find the 15 million extra from this year to extend him again.

Otherwise your all in on recovering injury lance. Which we already saw they weren't all in on pre injury lance.

Even more likely they sign him again after this year than it was they signed him again this year. Especially showing that he's willing to work with them after this year's contract.

If he plays well and then becomes a starter for another team with notable playing time we'd get a 3rd round comp pick in 2024.

Super Bowl with Jimmy G.

I got this team in the Super Bowl with Jimmy G. We were going to miss the playoffs with Lance. I threw in the towel. The team was going nowhere. Now you have the more veteran, more seasoned, more accurate, better pocket passer, better at reads, making adjustments guy playing. Who has been part of many deep playoff runs with this team and group of guys.

I got us playing Buffalo or Kansas City in the Super Bowl. With a chance to win. Now the year will get exciting. Great thing we kept him.
