Lol yes. TreyDey/Rack really is a stand-up poster. I certainly see the connection here.

well he's gotta let his play on the field dictate that then and back up his words.
You can't when you have a coach like Shanahan. He's handcuffed.

Personally I think there's a middle ground. Jimmy is more conservative by nature and has a understanding that he can be successful without the deep ball. I also think that Shanny has a system and script thar he wants ran depending on the defense and presnap.
Regardless both Jimmy and Shanny has proven they can win games without it.

I dunno. I think a number of former Patriot players see things differently than you do...
"I mean, I don't know we're all football players here," Edelman said about Garoppolo's injury, transcribed by NESN. "So we go into Week 4 and Jimmy was practicing and then decided not to play. Jacoby played with no ligaments in his thumb, which you can't do that as a quarterback.
"A lot of guys got mad at it. I'm not going to lie, I got mad about it," Edelman continued. "I sacrificed my body all day long. I was taking shots for this, numbing up that, ribs, broken ribs, shoulders, Grade 3 hanging on by limbs just to play. I can understand why Marty (Bennett) thinks like that."
Hard to fault a guy looking out for himself in a game like this but Jimmy gonna Jimmy.

They have proven they can win games without it but they haven't proven they can win the most imortant game without it.

What specifically is schematically different now then 2017?
Please show examples

Yup. Though one or two plays and we do win. That includes his miss to Sanders. I have no problem saying Jimmy could've made more plays. He's to blame as much as anybody.

2017 Jimmy was winging it. He didn't even know the playbook.
Just the start of 2018 before the acl you could see Jimmy as a different player.

7 TDs, 5 INTs over 5 games?
If anything, that 1.4 TD/INT ratio after 5 games is arguing on Shanahan's behalf.
What's that,...22 TDs extrapolated over a full 16 games? Sounds like same exact guy we've seen here after that year.

Its always looked to me the injury ruined him. He looks scared since.
