I remember a late throw to Deebo that would have iced the game. Maybe, your right, but I think we were in the game until he stepped out of bounds late in the game. Denver's defense played well - we made too many mistakes to win the game.

But this is the case so often. Plays to be made, that are not made.

Of course the team was in the game, until Wilson's fumble. The defense only gave up nine points.

And yes, mistakes. But the mistakes hurt this team week one too. The team has a lot of issues, with the majority of those issues on the offensive side of the ball. And not just JG. A lot is JG, but coaching, penalties, turnovers...gross.

No running game. This the key to our offense and it is struggling.

Yup. But we had 284 rushing yards in 5 quarters before Trey got injured. We have had 169 yards rushing in the 7 quarters since then.

That said, we lost because WE killed ourselves (mostly with Jimmy's mishaps and the absolutely god awful offensive line play).

We still had a chance to win despite Jimmy's mistakes. The big one though, to me, was the throw to deebo with 3 defenders around him for the int. One of those defenders was k'wuan of course who probably knew Jimmy was going there.

And after last night, it's only going to be more challenging for the run game to be effective. Takes nothing away from Denver, their D is legit. But, if JG (and this has been talked about ad naseum) can't punish the defense when the running game isn't producing, it's not just going to be a long season, it's going to be a highly ineffective, disappointing season.

When the other team takes the lead, seems like we abandon the run. Without LW for who knows how long, the running game will suffer even more.

Well that's just it. We don't have a qb that defenses fear. If we had that, with this defense, we are winning the SB.
Missed reads, under throws that could have been TDs. Self inflicted safety, fumbled snap, INT tossed in double coverage, tipped passes, inaccurate passes (some layups), and sprinkle in a couple good passes….so Jimmy truthers that s**t on Lance every step of the way, THATS what you've been crying for?

s**t I'm rooting for Jimmy until he's not here, but for the love of god call a spade a spade and understand why a lot of us wanted to move on. For a lot of us it was never "I hate Jimmy" it was simply wanting to get better there EVEN if it meant having to develop a young QB with a ton of raw talent. Understanding and accepting the idea that it's all a process but if given that time…good things could happen.

is what it is this yr. I don't expect Jimmy to be that bad but it's hard to win games with that going on.
49er fan: Why didn't he throw it deep to Deebo he is wide open.

Shortly after throws "deep" to Deebo. Pass dies at 10 yrds.

49er fan: oh yea.

Our run game was not consistent last night. We had a few good runs but was mostly inaffective. Perhaps we should have kept running the ball anyway. The truth is, defenses are not afraid of Jimmy's arm and as far back as last season have dared him to beat them over the top. If defenses want to beat this offense, all they have to do is sell out to stop the run. The rushing game is night and day between Jimmy and Trey. The numbers clearly demonstrate that. If the difference isn't Trey's ability to push the ball down field than perhaps someone has a better explanation.
Jimmy double butt effed the organization with that surgery. Kyle should be fired for running Trey like that with that garbage as backup.

Yeah we were more affective running the ball with Lance. Numbers back it up. Is what it is.

Not saying the season is over because it's not. We were 3-5 to start last year and we got to the NFCCG. Mitchell is back in a couple weeks. Ward and verrett will also be back on D at some point hopefully soon. Jimmy needs to get his head out of his ass though. Makes me think Jimmy doesn't give a s**t at this point. He's on a one year deal knowing he's most likely gone after this season. He's playing too not get injured again.
