He was functional in 2019 though. Dude has been a mental case ever since they lost the SB. Never recovered the aggressiveness we saw in spurts in 2019.

Does anybody know how many games Jimmy needs to start before the Niners owe him $16 Million?

He gets so much per game started and if he takes majority of snaps. And we wont bench him.

lol

must not think much of Kyle's decision making huh?

He has been trying to replace him for last 3 years.

I mean he didn't need to give him a fat contract, if he was ass since bringing in, like OP is suggesting.

Or evenbring him back even at discount. Could've just cut the cord and moved on with Lance and Purdy.

You think Kyle decides who gets what money?

Would you say that it was normal? Even by his standards?

Probally not but let's be honest, His normal is not that good either. His normal still involves being very inconsistant throughout the entire game. The game he had vs the Saints in 2019 is not normal Jimmy. That was Jimmy playing over his head. Those two games I mentioned where he was beyond horrible, Well that's also the amount of games where you can say he was elite. I can count on 1 hand how many games Jimmy played where he was consistantly good for the entire game.

You think he doesn't have a say on who his QB is going to be? I don't buy that. Just like I don't buy the Kyle never wanted Lance but was forced on to him by GM and Owner take.

spelling edit.

His normal is around 12-18. Which I though many agreed with before last nights aberration. I've never seen him throw a pick, fumble, and have a safety in one game. Maybe I'm forgetting one. That makes it an aberration.

I'm not arguing that saints, cardinals, or Rams, or any others are normal either. If it was then he would be without question within 5-12 range. But I don't see many posters arguing that.

I never actually bought into it either. It was an entertaining take though. For me, Trey will always be compared to Mac Jones and the "did Kyle make the right decision?" Story line. So far Mac has not shown to be better than Trey overall efficiency wise. Mac Jones has gained a lot more experience thanTrey thus far in their respective careers though.

Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady are not consistently good the entire game. Watch the games sometime.
No Trent and starting Jimmy going to make it a long month or 2.

Yep. You don't give a QB the contract they did to Jimmy if he HC isn't on board.

And you don't give up 3 first and a 3rd to draft a player HC isn't on board with.

Yeah might be rough. We'll see. If the OL is going to be as abysmal as yesterday, would we be better off starting Purdy for the cap savings next year? Maybe we can spend it on OL to help Lance out?

Those are aberrations by their standards. Their normal game is top 5 performance. Yes they have bad games like any other QB. Shoot, Rodgers Was getting skewered for his NFCCG performance. Many of GB fans were fine with letting him walk during the off-season.
The screen passes Jimmy kept on missing to Deebo had me. Even if they were going nowhere.
