I won't discuss the inconsistencies between the Lance and Trey teams. That much is obvious, and exists for all to see.

However, I do think JG's lack of action over the last few weeks / months was part of the issue (how much is up for debate). The problem for me though...JG ran out of the back of his end zone. And that end zone didn't change dimensions recently. And it's that play, and that play alone, that makes it really difficult for me to cut Jimmy slack for the rest of the game. Well, that, and the fact we have seen this before. But I fully expect better next week.

We will be in for another defensive battle with LAR on Monday night. The rams are allowing less than 100 yards rushing per game at 3.8 ypc. If Jimmy doesn't get the passing game going, we will most likely lose.

Yeah, I'm expecting like a 16 - 13 game or something.

It certainly played a part, and he will certainly get better and more in rhythm as time proceeds,...but I suggest asking yourself if Jimmy in any way appears to be a guy that takes his craft seriously once he's off the clock?
I hope this last game reminded all this new found amore flolks for Jimmy why we traded up for Trey…. Jimmy going to be Jimmy.. While I did want him for a back up from the beginning, that's what he is a back up.

I don't know. I just know that in order for the 49ers to be a threat this year, he is going to need to be at least serviceable. He has been in the past, but as teams home in on Deebo and continue to take away the short / middle of the field, JG is going to need to adapt, and do things that are, perhaps, outside of his comfort zone.

Its crazy how fans have been blaming Shanahan for these types of losses. Kyle can only scheme the guys open, he cannot make the QB throw it to them.

They don't understand football, play calling, personnel etc…really any of it. Which is fine, but imo their opinion on it means nothing too me. It's all emotional based with no real research or understanding of anything. It's like listening to a little kid crying over not getting a candy bar lol. You try to tell them no and why and they just get more upset and push back.

the plays are there to be had. We see it all the damn time when the all-22 comes out. Yes kyle plays a part in who his QB is for his offense…he can't control who gets hurt (mostly) and is forced to toss out there. Jimmy should play better than that though. He's still who he is and we're always gonna see missed reads and inaccurate passes with a couple good passing plays mixed in there.

imo the fact that we've won so many games with Jimmy is more about what Kyle and this roster has done vs what Jimmy has done. Some in here don't see it like that, which is baffling.

IMO if he hits this, we get points and win. There is no excuse for missing this. The ball should've been out before Deebo even breaks. We had momentum and he continually missed the throws when it mattered. I got a lot of s**t last night but the safety was the last of our worries and possibly even saved us a point as Denver would've been in much better FG position with a punt without even snapping the ball. There were waaaay to many mistakes like this. It is it a timing issue seeing how Jimmy hasn't played that much? I think so, but still inexcusable. Again I think this will get cleaned up.

This is not because Jimmy hasn't played that much. He's thrown this ten thousand times. It's just a bad throw.

Same throw people get made at Lance for not hitting perfectly. Yet our 8 yr vet can't hit it

Jimmy is a 8 year vet who has had over a year now to build "chemistry" with his weapons so he gets a pass. But Trey who is basically still a rookie as far as in game experience does not get a pass. Don't you understand the logic in that?

I disagree with that logic. It actually proves the point in the other direction. Look none of us know what Trey can do. He haven't had a chance to show and prove. Anything we've seen is antidotal. Jimmy being a vet with multiple years gets no passes. This should be automatic. You are what you are especially when it's repeated

Well Jimmy does deserve his share of the credit and Kyle's record with and without Jimmy tells us at least that. However, fans using the tagline "He just wins" tells us nothing about how much credit he actually deserves for those wins. When I started to dig into it a little bit last week, some fans were getting upset about it. You are correct. Some fans are like children with a one track mind and very little substance to back up their extreme biases.

Yeah but you're comparing Jimmy to CJ Beathard, Hoyer and Nick Mullens saying that. Jimmy is a $100M dollar QB he SHOULD be better than guys that are career backups at best.

my point is Kyle has won a ton of games with an avg starting QB. That's not easy to do. He's made Jimmy better than he is imo.

yeah people on the internet hate being proven wrong or people disagreeing with their opinions. No amount of film, data or common sense will change opinions. If anything it just makes them dig in deeper out of spite. We all do it…and it's pretty childish if you think about it lol.

I don't disagree with you per se. Its just that I don't ever consider the money aspect of things. I can see your point though when you do factor it in.

I am not interested in having and one of that has anything to do with my point.

The phrase "Jimmy took the 49ers ro the Super Bowl" is a lie, fine, I lied about Jimmy taking us to to the Super Bowl to deceive Steve. You win the argument.

There is no argument. All you're being asked is to stop making up accomplishments that he's never achieved. Just a couple days ago you were saying he played well enough to win a couple Super Bowls,....lol.

Heck...he's never taken us to any Super Bowl to begin with. He did play as a starter in one for us and you can certainly say he helped lead us to the playoffs.

His participation in the playoffs was pretty much absent or abysmal. That's not taking your team anywhere,....that's your team taking you.

Go phish for another line. There's plenty more out there like "he wins" while ignoring his mediocre production and the superb defenses he's been fortunate to play with.

Again,...no it hasn't, Maybe WITHOUT him with another QB in place? You can make an argument for that.

None of this has anything to do with my point.

Now you are digging up old posts and posting them in your replies to fund something else to argue over.

I'm not interested and I doubt anyone else here is interested either.

Old posts? A one week old post is "old?"

Is that your issue? Or is your issue the fact that I'm backing up my claim with further evidence?

You continually come here and try to stretch the truth about the guy. It's not just by chance or an error. It's purposeful.

Don't like it? Stop doing it.

Yes, and taking a old post from a week ago and posting it into a reply to try to start an argument about it is lame.

I said he tool his team to the Super Bowl and that triggered you. That isn't my problem.

I even said that phrasing wasn't releative to my point. The point was that a qb who has been to a Suoer Bowl with a team will be looked at differently than someone who hasn't done anything for a team.

You seem desperate for an argument.

Yessir. Traded up for TL cuz JG just can't stay healthy to save his rear end. Problem solved.

Not lame at all, and it'll continue. Stop making stuff up about your favorite QB. We know he's handsome but beyond that, he has some shortcomings and much of it is probably a lack of effort.
