So I'm sorry but if Jimmy is doing the same Jimmy s**t against the Rams, regardless if we eek out a victory... then the very next week, Kyle has to get Purdy some in game experience in spurts the rest of the season. Unless Jimmy gets hot (which I doubt)... and if Jimmy REALLY starts to s**t the bed like he did against the Broncos... then Purdy needs to come in. f**k Jimmy's feelings... and f**k which ever players have an issue with it.

Again... this is if Purdy does well with his snaps. Purdy who played 4 yeads in college (no?), had more snaps the past 4 years than Trey and Sudfeld COMBINED.

I'm sorry but after late last season, and so far this year... I trust the unknown + Purdy preseason+ Kyle getting folks open > Jimmy.

You can't be doing "Purdy getting some snaps" stuff. He's not the athlete Trey is, so there's no point. IF Jimmy s**ts the bed, the course of action to consider is to just BENCH Jimmy for Purdy, if Purdy is doing well in practice. HOWEVER, I find that result extremely unlikely. I find it hard to believe a rookie is going to be better than Jimmy—even an experienced rookie. This change probably won't be made (if it's made at all) unless the 49ers are all but eliminated.

This was brought up to make Kyle look bad but I think it looks worse on Jimmy. It just shows again that he takes no responsibility. It's all Kyle's fault that he is missing wide open receivers all game long. We wonder how in 5 years our defense keeps showing out while our offense keeps getting worse. Well look at the leaders on defense compared to the leaders on offense. Just look at the difference in attitude.

I don't blame Jimmy. They told him that he was gone, failed to trade him, didn't give him a playbook, didn't let him practice with the team, then threw him into the fire as a starter after running Lance into the ground with sucky runs up the gut. What did the coaches expect here?

This is a total s**t show and shanny is the maestro. Jimmy is the byproduct.

I mean Jimmy could've waited and not sign here too could've signed anywhere else but I'll assume its kyle bad play calls that made him resign the contract.

What is more likely...

Jimmy s**tting the bed again and Brock doing well in Practice...(I mean we're going to face tougher teams than Denver... teams that might put points up on our defense, if we don't sustain drives)

Or Jimmy going on a run against these tough teams?

Kyle said Brock beat out Sudfeld..he trusted Brock to be the backup.. one play away from Brock getting on the field. Even over a vet QB in Sudfeld whose been here for a while... and on top of that, Sudfeld got picked up right away and is the backup on his new team. So it's not because Kyle thinks he's trash.

I'm been on this roller-coaster ride with Jimmy too many times... I know how it goes and how it ends.

Jimmy did this to himself by the timing of his surgery. John and Kyle were trying to trade him, And even at the very end when he ran out of options he could have said no he will not re-sign. And he would have been released because they weren't going to pay him $27 Million. But he chose to come back because he had no other options as far as teams being interested in him. $6.5 Million+incentives was the best he was going to get from anybody.

Trey has shown hell of a lot of leadership just 22 years old than 30 year old jimmy who still thinks he lead this team to the SB and NFCC, he better show some leadership this Sunday and make those 20-25 attempts count or it's going to be another Jimmy s**t show 🤣

I'm sure he couldve landed a backup spot with a similar salary elsewhere. His choice. The kicker on that play, he missed the wide open WR lol. Shanny deserves his fair share of criticism but there were receivers wide open all game.

His post game presser was crap. Trey owns up to his bad plays but this dude defers blame. That was a bad look for him. Just like the week before when Trey gets hurt and he's beaming ear to ear. Just goes to show that whether he's right or wrong, it's going to be all about him this year. Lets see how this plays out this season. I'm intrigued.

Trey has only ever won 1 game against a bottom team. He was not impressive against the Bear. He hasn't proved himself yet. He has potential but is still pretty raw.

JG will be fine after a game or two.

I really think a lot here are just having major meltdowns over not much at all.

We will see how it goes. If he loses the next six well then I will be more convinced he is done but it is early days yet.

No, he won't. What we saw here is what happens nearly every time he faces a great defense. This is why his playoff stats are so bad. Jimmy's style works great against defenses that don't have the resources to shut down both the zone run and the middle of the field in the passing game. But when they do, he cannot exploit them on the outside enough to make them play honest, and that is why most of the time he plays against a great defense he struggles. The major exception to this has been the Rams, but their strength has not been the inside of their defense beyond their Dline.

So, we're absolutely going to see this again. But we'll see good games against the mediocre, bad, and slightly better than average defenses.
