lol talk about missing the point.

Btw, He was stating his opinion on what he saw from him in 2021. And opinions of others on he team with similar opinion.

"I don't think Trey's ready to play yet, myself, and after talking to some of the players."
At the end of the day, they are both opinions. I'm not here to argue which should be given more credence, because that wasn't my point at all.

rating will probably take another hit this week

He's been knocking the rust off since the SB he pissed away for us in 2019

Jimmy rarely if ever steps into throws, so not sure why this play is singled out. Most of the throws that are off quick release are also off his back foot. He rarely produces the natural torque or steps into his throws. This happened even back in 2017...it was dismissed more or less because that style kinda worked...yet it prevents him from driving the ball.

Should we accept Martellus Bennet's comments on Jimmy, if at the end of the day, all opinions shouldn't be dismissed?
To me Jimmy is who he is so I'm usually not one to pile on the hate on the guy. I'm still thankful for what he has contributed thus far in his career with us. What really pisses me off though was all the propping up of him by some fans and the media at large to crap on Trey. And what happened in Denver made his obvious faults so much more glaringly obvious so to make it crystal clear to those who are trying to spin a narrative.

What are the 2 big things I hear the most about from downers of Trey? Footwork/mechanics and accuracy. What were 2 things that were terrible with Jimmy in Denver (and not good since he joined the team 6 years ago)? Footwork/mechanics and accuracy (plus much more!)

He'll come out MNF and light it up like usual. This stuff isn't hard. Just get the ball to 19, 11, 85. If KS has some suck plays.. change it at the LOS.

singled out based off the example and context of the specific play that left points on the board. but yeah, I see it with the shorter stuff a lot. it's a bad habit that clearly sticks when it comes to him having actual room to step up and work with.
also if you guys didnt know already, jonny's vid is out

If it were that simple how come it didn't happen in Denver? What exactly has been "usual" for Jimmy post 2019 anyway? The team wins, carrying him on their back, as usual

It's life you have good days and bad. He was rusty as hell. You spend the week working on getting it fixed and try to do it better the next game.

That's fine. He's entitled to his opinion.

I repect, and accept, Jones, Joe, Young, and Sherman opinions all the same. Do you?

Yeah, I'm cool with players of their status speak up on current events. They shouldn't be dismissed, like many dit with Joe and Young when they spoke about Lance.

I would take Joe Montana's opinion more serious if he gave us his personal analsys of Trey Lance. Maybe I am missing something more recent but the last I heard from him was "players in the locker room" are talking.

"I don't think he's ready," Montana said of Lance. "And that's just what I hear. I heard even more things today from some of the players, so I just don't think they think he's ready."

That's right many alluded that joe was a liar and not having any connections anymore. I don't know if that's true or not and won't act like I know.

His opinion below was also attributed to sour grapes.

"I think you keep Jimmy until you find somebody else," Montana said. "I don't think Trey's ready to play yet, myself, and after talking to some of the players. It's one of those things that, if you can keep Jimmy healthy, he plays well enough to get you here."

I don't want a QB who "plays well enough to get you there". I want a QB that actually gives you a chance to win the SB. Jimmy will never be the reason this team,or any NFL team, wins a SB.

True and we can't have that lol

which reminds me. Thl mentioned that he would've like Jimmy to go to Seattle for all the entertainment and drama it would bring leading up to the games.. He now gets at least 17 weeks of drama and entertainment.
