Also, Jimmy has a tendency to not step up into the pocket when pressure is coming from the edges even though the middle is clean and their is a clear throwing lane.

For sure. But his two ankle injuries were from the A gap immediately. Not many QB's are escaping those.

What does that have to do with him not climbing the pocket to earn himself a little more time? He's traumatized? When he opts to escape left/right out of the pocket, I wonder to myself if he thinks he's faster than he actually is.

The original question was about the injuries that happened. Not whether JG climbs the pocket or not.
No more excuses. Jimmy has been in this league for 9 years and on this team for 6. If Jimmy is anything more than a low end starter/high end backup in this league he should have more than the 2019 Saints game on his resume to prove that.

I didn't quote the quote chain for that convo when I made that statement though.

Correct YAC. You made that post then NC said Jimmy got injured from A gap penetration. I got confused.

As if the 33-15 stat isn't cherry picked. You know damn well the team won despite Jimmy in many of those games. If you want people here to take you seriously, you should come with a football argument stronger than Jimmy being in Subway commercials.

Oh, my apologies. Thought you were expanding on that topic.

But your point is spot on. There are certainly lanes to step up into and he misses it trusting his flat foot method instead. He's regressed in pocket presence to me.

33-15 is the whole record. It is not cherry picked. Cherry picking is pointing to a part of the whole, as opposed to the entire thing. You may say the whole record is BS.. but it's def not cherry picked.
Whats crazy is that during that 2019 season Jimmy G had the best recovery of his mistakes... I forgot the stat but he typically scored on the drive after an interception and led a few comebacks. Now he is going full Kurt Warner with the Giants mode. A high profile QB that just gifts the ball nonstop now. Always rooted for him but JFC the safety wiping out a pick 6, the attitude... this is gonna be a long season. Pretty sure it was that attitude that costs 3 1st rounders.

Wins/Losses becomes a cherry picked stat when applying it blanketly to a single player without the full context of how that player performed in those wins and losses. If the defense managed to keep Denver from scoring their go ahead TD last Sunday, the win wouldn't have changed the fact that Jimmy played like crap.
