It is really sad.
What they really can't stand is that Jimmy has made their analysis look really lame and they are trying to deflect to avoid eating humble pie. Must be hard to take.
🤣 Jimmy still same old Jimmy.
As long as he doesn't F'up, he's good enough to win with this championship D. IT'S HIS LAST CHANCE.
The good thing in this game is, it looks like the Rust is off now and they have 2 easy games vs weaker opponents the next 2 weeks so Jimmy better improve more with this Championship team or there will be more complaints about him instead of KS.

what's troubling is that without a run game, we really are relying on Jimmy's arm to help us win and history tells us that is a recipe for disaster. Elijah Mitchell can't come back fast enough, and Kyle should have his other runners eg Mack, Coleman contribute to get the run game going…
1. Jimmy said he saw the corner driving on the route and put the ball where it was Deebo or no one - that's Jimmy's words from the presser.
2. Shanahan's offense always relies on a run game. Matt Ryan was 13-12 in 2015 and 16 when he threw more than 32x. He was 6-1 when he threw less than 32x. RGIII was 1-3 when he threw more than 32x, with Kyle and Mike and 8-3 when he threw less than 32x.
We're a wide-zone based offense. Joe Staley has talked about how Kyle wants to run the ball at least 30x a game because in the NFL if you run 30x you win 80% of the time.

David Lombardi said last week with Jimmy G and Shanahan looked like their firs preseason game together, while this week looked like their regular season.

"I saw him driving on it so I just didn't want to throw the interception," Garoppolo said. "I kind of gave it a 'either Deebo will get it or no one will' and that's about all I did on the play."

Almost every HC would love to run it 30x a game. That means you're winning Throwing the ball a ton in most cases means you're playing from behind.
I thought Jimmy looked more decisive last night. Made some good throws and like always has those missed opportunities for big gains and butt clinching moments. It's the Jimmy G experience, the good and bad.

Not only that, with a championship D you want to keep possessions, burn the clock so the opposing QB/offense and even more so if they are a good one don't get to score, and keep the ball out of the hands, control, injury proned and mistakes of a none probowl QB like Jimmy.
They're going to have to rely on the running game and championship D especially on away games (as evident in previous seasons and before they broke the curse of always losing in Levi Stadium), as the saying goes "always pack your defense and running game", due to the noise of opposing fans in away stadium, for away games if you want to win, same goes for playoffs and SB..

Obviously the misses and a few poor throws were the low points, but i'll focus on the positive! He's finally throwing the ball away when he needs to. No game-breaking sacks occurred last night. His 3rd down throws were money at times. We cannot ignore those. He remained efficient and as usual commanded the LOS. I think his pre-snap reads and audibles were sharp.
He does need to focus on finding Kittle more on plays other than screens to Deebo and Aiyuk. On those pure passing plays, find Kittle and the RB out of the backfield. Also, keep using those legs for those 3-4 yard scrambles! I believe his accuracy and reads will come back to him the more he keeps playing. I don't think we will see too many more of those inaccurate throws behind Woerner types. We'll still probably see clear misses tho. Just my thoughts

Jimmy is still not playing ll that well. His 3 games so far could best be described as average to below average.
Completion percentage has been way down from his normal %. 61.9, 62.07 and last night only 59.26. Those are low numbers for a QB that throws mostly high % short throws. He also has only 1 TD pass in each game and is averaging 201 yards per game. These are all below even Jimmy's average.

He has a 7.8 YPA average and a 3:1 TD to INT ratio on the season. He certainly played his role in winning the game last night. I think he's earned a little leeway when it comes to criticism this week.
