Jimmy doesn't make secondaries pay when they make a mistake. That's really the problem more than air yards.

BangBang certainly sounds like another poster in here? How many accounts does this dude have

Oh, just change your ID to JGhater85, will ya!

If that Deebo TD was a pick 6 (like it should've been), the entire complexion of the game changes and we'd all be ranting about how Jimmy cost us the game.

"I saw him driving on it so I just didn't want to throw the interception," Garoppolo said. "I kind of gave it a 'either Deebo will get it or no one will' and that's about all I did on the play."

Yes, I read that. The question is….do you really believe it ?

The question is.. does it matter? At all?

Yea I believe it. You know why? He threw it high on purpose. That was not an inaccurate throw. That was actually very smart placement. Jimmy is not a total derp all the time and can actually make NFL throws in the moment when he has to. Also Aikman's initial reaction was that Jimmy threw it high on purpose. And then oh yea he admitted it was high on purpose after the game
Theres more good and some bad to it

Good :
Completion and TD
OL gave him time
Jimmy actually using that time and adjusted his throw so it wouldn't be picked

Bad :
Jimmy was forcing it to Deebo no matter what

I agree with that. Last night, Juice got over the top of the defense. Jimmy was looking that way but never saw him. It happened in Denver on multiple plays as well. Got to hit those layups.

Pretty much. We damn well know certain posters in here would be all over that if it was a 22 yr old QB.

That is why I keep bringing it up. All I read all summer was that all Trey needed to do was hit the layups.

Yup as Kyle said and I'm a paraphrasing but air yards are highly inefficient compared to short efficient high percentage throws. This is why he drafts YAC people.

Fans obsession with fantasy football stats is unbelievably naive.

Air yards is not a fantasy stat. Dinking and dunking to good players like Kittle/Deebo/Aiyuk works to a certain degree, but mainly because of those 3 and not the QB. The offense could be so much more with a QB that defenses had to respect more.

Yeah it is. It's a stat only used in fantasy football.

Yeah, you could see Jimmy look up at the big screen after Juice and cringe.

Aside from him not seeing or hitting these, I'm equally concerned why Kyle never comes back to these plays and tries them again later with Juice as the primary (assuming he wasn't).

I am not sure what you mean?
I've always rightfully maintained that QBs miss throws and reads nearly every single game. Having perfect games, making every throw perfect, hitting every read is extremely extremely rare. We just see Jimmy/Tret through a microscope because he's our guy but it happens more than people think.

Haha. NY said Trey just needs to do what Jimmy does all last year. It's not that hard. And we also want Jimmy to hit the deeper shots that Trey does.

If only Kyle can morph those two into one QB right now. Ha

BTT= Big Time Throw. It means a throw that was of high difficulty and typically further down the field.

TWP= Turnover Worthy Plays. Self explanatory.

That's what I was asking. I'm not familiar with the acronyms here.

Did you have fun last night, All????

Than we would have an elite QB. Can't argue with that.

BTW, what was Stafford's TWP's?

I point out objective analysis. Only one crying in here is you and your 3 other accounts when anyone has something critical to say about your vet QB.

we're all happy we beat LA. Defense doesn't play lights out those easy missed layups become backbreaking misses that led to a loss.

I said he played better than SNF. I said arrow up for Jimmy. Just be a game manger, run the offense and limit TOs and we will be in a lot of games. I also can realize what he is and isn't at this pt in his career & and I've accepted that. You and others can't for some reason.
