Yeah, "worthy" vs. "actual" is probably the key difference for them.

I would put actual INTs as worthy if they are in fact worthy.. not all are but most are.. it's a subjective judgement call on what is or is not worthy at the end of the day.. two stat houses/companies tracking it could have totally different numbers.. what is worthy?

i like objective stats

But if they are already credited on the same stat sheet as an actual turnover, why credit it twice?

made plays took care of the ball, we got good Jimmy this week.

funny how people will point to mistakes and a few losses, and never acknowledge nice plays and lots of wins.

the media doesn't help, Stafford sticks one into double coverage across the middle, announcers call it an amazing play…Jimmy sticks one into double coverage across the middle and the announcers say that's a bad choice and risky throw!

Jimmy just wins…and that should be of value around here, but it's not.

Are you sure Deebo wasn't rated higher?

There's probably only 3 stats total in football that are objective. The key is how they define it and doing it consistently. Like how TTT for NextGen and PFF, there seems to be about a .5 difference. But as long as they are consistent, it's all good.

Not that I agree as Deebo was MVP imo but

Below are Pro Football Focus' five highest-graded 49ers players on offense against the Rams.
  • Jimmy Garoppolo, QB, 87.5, 50 snaps
  • Deebo Samuel, WR, 81.5, 40 snaps
  • Colton McKivitz, LT, 72.8, 32 snaps
  • Mike McGlinchey, RT, 67.5, 50 snaps
  • Kyle Juszczyk, FB, 67.2, 32 snaps

Don't tell Hysterikal about TTT on neutral passing downs.

Oh is this a new one? Where can I find these and the splits?

I'm jk. PFF concrete stats are very informative, it's the subjective stats - including their player ratings - that cause me to question the accuracy.

Agreed. I don't use their player rankings or grades. I do like TTT, BTT and TWP stats though. Imo, they help to paint a more detailed picture of player performance.

Correct me if I'm wrong but TTT (Time To Throw) is the duration from snap to throw? Does it take into account whether the play is 3 5 or 7 step timing? My guess is no. That right there invalidates the stat imo. Unless the stat is used to measure the offense or the gameplan (it shouldn't be used to measure the QB or OL).

For example, the Rams started off with very quick throws. It was apparent that there was a conscious decision to quickly get the ball out of Stafford's hands. In other words, his TTT was fast. But that's an example of why I think TTT is a gameplan stat.
